Wait so we should start cpu v cpu games with rookie instead of all-pro?

Yeah. Always test in this pattern: rookie, pro, all madden, then all pro is always a last resort. All Pro is usually the worst of the levels. Rookie and Pro are usually the ones I stick with. Sounds like rookie is money this release because Shaunhill84 says rookie default with assists off looks like there doesn’t need to be any adjustments. Plays good as is.

Go to twitch and search Shaunhill24 is streaming live, madden 19 cpu mode with default sliders and no assists. 15 minute quarters. Not sure about runoff.

Re: Tommycoa’s CPU vs CPU Sliders

Just played first cpu v cpu game on default rookie with nothing else changed and had an incredible game.

Browns: 20
Falcons: 16

It came down to the last play where Browns needed to score a TD, and Baker Mayfield launches a 40 yard bomb for Landry for a TD. I couldn't actually believe my eyes.

So the skeptical side of me is saying, 'but i wonder if it's because I'm playing on Rookie that they gave me that'.

So I ask you guys...the way I play cpu v cpu is to change the game speed to slow in the game, and then supersim "until the end of game". I'm assuming thats how you guys do it? There's no way to put the controller in the middle right?

Cause I'm wondering if this is really cpu v cpu. We're still considered the "user side" right? So if we put the difficulty on Rookie, isn't the CPU taking it easy on us so to speak?

In Madden 19, the controller not being in the middle mattered, but it may be different this year. What did your stats look like? Sounded like a great game. Was it Play Now, CFM preseason or regular season?

It was a CFM game and stats looked great. I didn't write them down or record them, but they were pretty good. Matt Ryan actually showed as if he was getting flustered. Browns defense got to him a few times.

The RB's on both sides hit their holes and both did decent...there wasn't any weird cuts or changes in direction like in coach mode. Baker Mayfield also ran like 5-6 times for like 40 yards ...was incredible.

This is better than coach mode, i coached moded for years. When you’re mashing any kind of button, even if it’s calling the plays, it really messes with the cpu AI. I’m still uncertain if the controller not being in the middle matters. Maybe if we zeroed out XP, it would stop the momentum jumps. The controller in the middle thing takes hundreds of games watched to get a handle on. But there’s definitely something to it because the game plays better in play now because the controller is in the middle.

A few years ago you could check the skill level during cpu play and no matter what sliders you used, the game was in the rookie skill level in the in-game play options on the pause screen.
