For me at least, Madden used to be a reason to buy a new system. This is bad for everyone's business.

I got Madden 25 NG as part of Targets Buy2Get1 deal (I was hoping to get Lego Marvel free but they didn't have it) and I'm already regretting having Madden and I got it free.

I feel ashamed to admit at one point I was more looking forward to Madden NG than I was NBA2k NG. Madden looked great @ E3 and NG 2K seemed to silent.

Boy was I off.

I understand people may be let down with the way the game looks, but if it plays better, that is what really matters. Overall, I think most games we've seen, look fairly similar to their current gen counterparts in some ways, but when you zoom in close and see all the little details, that's where they begin to separate themselves. FIFA is a good example, on Youtube, people felt it looked very similar to current gen, in person, people have been blown away with how FIFA looks. I'm not expecting M25 to blow people away based on how it looks in person, but I think it will be better than people are thinking, just based off of a YT video. Madden 15 is when I think people will be blown away, for many reasons.

I think most of us where expecting to be underwhelmed...So this doesn't really surprise me. Things like the sideline catch animation triggering when players aren't near the sidelines is something that irks me because it is simply attention to detail. That should have NEVER made it into next gen, you need a year to work on the graphics-whatever- but some of this stuff is just plain sloppy.

The sim stats engine for offline franchise was another big issue for me and one at this point I don't think will be fixed. Unless this was one of the back end issue's Looman talked about.
