We might be stuck with this gameplay this entire console.

Yup. Look at the difference between games that are solely developed for current gen consoles (Ryse, inFamous, etc) and compare them to the multi-plat games (Watch Dogs, CoD). Last gen is definitely holding current gen back.

I think atrocious is being over dramatic. It needs work, but it has come a long way. There used to only be 5 tackle animations in football games.

I think atleast graphically, in a still, they have made a decent leap this year. NBA 2k14 quality? Not quite. But it's better than the trash we were fed with Madden 25.

They need to focus on things that matter though. The look of the game will improve so much more if you push for realistic animation. It doesn't matter how detailed your character models are, if they run around looking like **** it wont really matter. Animation quality is absolute key.

Compared to Madden 2012? It hasn't come a long way. It's been very, very slow.

I think when you look at what can be done in today's video games it's a really fair assessment IMO. If this was 2006 maybe, but it's 2014 and games progress and for some reason madden continues to fall well short of most sim user expectations. Its not just gameplay, it's actually the entire game and it's really just completely butchered outside of the graphics IMO.

I don't think RTP is the problem, I think it's the animation quality and variation prior to physic kick in is the problem.

There just need to be way more animation especially transition animations. And there are plenty of disc space.

The only enjoyment I get out of madden 25 tackling right now is some times I see some really cool things I have not seen before or only seen once because of physic there just needs to be more of that and more polishing.

I think there is way too much focus on 1 on 1 tackling this year and they tune down physics
