Idigital Times Madden 15 Hands On EA Summer Showcase(near final build)

Rich Grisham said in his podcast that the devs told him the build at Summer Showcase was near final, that's why I put it in the title.

people are going to hate on the fact that pretty much every bad throw will result in an interception. But honestly, I think this is a good thing

Fine with me! If 90% of bad throws don't hit the defender in both hands and he drops it I'll will run around my house screaming for joy.

Once we get hands on and can adjust settings we'll know for sure if they need "adjusted" a bit.

Looking forward to a Madden with better D.

Just have to remember Madden never has had many errant throws that just hit the ground. They either hit the WR or DB. So DB drops had to be there to help balance out and make better realistic stats.
If this new QB accuracy is what it's supposed to be and we see more balls that hit the ground then I'll be a happy camper.

I don't know how I feel about that, because every bad throw shouldn't be an interception, because in real life every bad throw isn't an interception. As long as there's a proper balance it will be good. If a defender is always in the spot that the bad throw is things can start to look scripted.

As long as the lineman don't play matador blocking to force bad throws constantly I'll be happy. If I go into a replay and my blockers are still just looking at defenders I'll be a little pissed.

It's all about balance and things making sense for me. If I force a bad throw by all means let me pay for it, but I don't want some superman defense that doesn't make sense either.

It sounds like they tuned it since E3, in the E3 videos I think I saw 2-3 INTs total.

That's my concern as well.

I love the idea of more inaccuracy, but the problem with Madden has always been too many completions or interceptions and not enough incompletions.

I don't want the same think just with more interceptions.

It is promising based on the video's we've seen though so I'll wait.

Tiburon really needs to capture some dropped pass animations. I think that will make people feel better than seeing the "stone hands" drops.

I look forward to seeing balls fly over receivers heads and to some hitting the ground. I also hope I don't see some of those warping pass catches due to inaccuracies as well. You know the "super speed he would've never caught that if the animation didn't play at that speed" animations.

I just hope it makes passing feel more organic. The next step is real passing physics and untethering these receivers. Then we'll really be talking.
