Let's just say this.. I've done the standard calibration on my TV. Not just "fiddling with my TV set". No thanks, not going to spend thousands of dollars to get it calibrated by a pro when it's just fine now.

I'm fine with putting it on full, even if it's technically incorrect. I won't go out of my way, when I like how it looks on my tv now. No banding issues.. I can still see grays etc. This might be a solution for others without spending thousands. The bottom line is whatever works. Agreed?

Guys... you are thinking too much into this. The videos are washed out because of compression and compression only. I am a video editor... Once you compress that High definition video you lose contrast and saturation. Lower Birate compression does this. Anything you see on the web...mainly youtube... will never look anything like the real product. Has nothing to do with a tv... or the console.

Exactly. That's why I posted what I did earlier. You'd think it would be obvious.

Calibration doesn't cost you thousands. More like a few hundred dollars, and if you own an LED it's a one time deal.

Xbox One crushes the blacks, it's a known issue that the dev team is working to fix in an upcoming system update. Thats why the Ones Madden looks so awful versus the PS4 version. That's also why the PS4 graphics tend to look brighter and more vibrant.

Colors always looked a bit muted to me on PS3/PS4 when compared to Xbox 360/Xbox One. I always figured that's just how it was, never really put much thought into it.

Sorry if this has been asked I searched but I couldn't find an answer ...Thinking about getting a ps4 and Madden . I have a ps3 now. Do I need ps plus to play against a friend online on ps4?
