What about the part someone mentioned about the CPU not drafting well because of the first round grade on everyone issue?

Personally I think that's a good thing. Real life teams draft busts in the first round at a much higher rate than many people realize. The NFL network YouTube channel has a "hit, miss or meh" series that analyzes first round picks and it really sheds some light on how many first rounders end up being major disappointments or just "ok". I did some research over a 10 year time frame and came with numbers that show on average about 14 first rounders are "homeruns", 8 are "average" and 10 are busts.

I think the fact that you can change the scouting simply by editing anyone in the draft is great because it allows people who don't like the danger of yourself and the CPU drafting busts to avoid it and also allow people like wodi who enjoy the risk to have that option as well.

Re: M20 Biggest Draft Studs and Freaks

I ended up with two out of the top three picks after the second season of my Fins chise and took a CB with my first pick

6'1" 95speed 95acc 94agil 90jump 74zone 73man 75press 73 prec 69tackle and... 76 hit power. 79 overall. The hit power really sold me. If I didn't already have two studs at safety I'd think about moving him. Only Star dev, which is a bit of a bummer

My third went to a 6'3" WR 77 overall with with great stats, not what I would call a freak though.

Don't just look at the 3 grades you scout. Look at combine stats. There are certain stats that help different positions.

Also, for QBs, I prefer Field General over Strong Arm. But that's just me.

It might be better to draft a strong arm QB with extreme THP and just train them on field general. You can push development on accuracy a ton but THP only will go up a few points IIRC.

Trading up in the first rd to take a guy you’ve pegged as a game changer only to reveal he’s a huge bust is a crushing endeavor that is actually enjoyable.

It makes the game so much more realistic and true to form. If you like to stack your teams, sure this may not be for you, but if you want the most enjoyable realistic draft experience, you have to try these classes.

Is the CPU able to draft effectively with these classes? That’s my only hang up to using them.

What's your definition of effective?

Nah its a legitimate question. I'm asking what his definition of effective because is the CPU drafting the best player at each position which each pick than no it's not effective. The mock drafts are set up in a way that is more realistic because there is a realistic amount of busts as well as good abd serviceable players in the latter rounds. The CPU will draft busts in the first round as they do in real life.

However, as previously stated, once you go into the edit anything in the class, it reverts back to giving you the true overall with full scouting. Once you do that, the custom class becomes no different than the auto generated classes and you will see the CPU draft at the same rate that they do with the classes that the game provides you.
