OPINION: What would make Madden 21 FEEL Next Gen?

Contact physics. Not only tackles but blocks and player interactions after the whistle. Maybe even running into players on the sideline.

Just give us something they havnt been doing for the past 18 years

I’ve never understood why the attendance thing was so taboo. Remember NCAA where if your prestige was down, attendance would be down? Where less seats would be filled and less crowd noise? Which meant less home field advantage?

Curious as to what makes you think they couldn’t acquire those licenses? They struck a FIFTEEN YEAR deal with ESPN (bigger than all of those mentioned) and never used their branding once. Instead opting to plaster EA Sports over everything which in my opinion KILLS immersion.

Seamless animations. There's so many times where an animation takes over and it's super obvious when players warp and shift into place and user control gets taken away. Or have branching animations where these animations can occur but can be affected by other players on the field.

Dynamic weather. Playing with the Packers at Lambeau field in the snow should looknlike it does. It would be so cool to start with flurries and then turn into Blizzard like conditions.

AI. It's just bad. 2 minute drill is still a mess. They don't have any sense of down and distance. All the coaches have the same tendencies. They don't utilize their best players at all. It's all really binary decision making. Defensive AI especially zones are awful.

All of these things would feel next gen to me.

Actually really working to incorporate real blocking schemes and actual offenses into the game.

What would make it feel "next gen"? Just two things:

Fix all the minor/major issues within Madden 21 especially with the Franchise and stats.
Make players move fluidly, realistically with at least 60 fps at the min, but should average more than that whether console or pc.

It would "feel" more like next gen if EA would for ONCE hit the target they set in the trailers and canned videos they put out that proclaims to be "Next Gen".
