Historically yes. Though I'm not sure on equipment updates and the like though but face scans do for sure.

That and some Xbox360 era hair texture lol. I get that Madden isn't going to lead the way in face detail, but with the power of the consoles they need to be doing better than this.


And while it used to be true that the headscans would only be seen in the menu for the players, it's just not true anymore. In the beta there were a ton of mini cutscenes for scenarios and other franchise things for press conferences and in the locker rooms, etc. And the animations and character details was so bad in those cutscenes. It made me wonder how they got past QA, and maybe they won't make it into the full game because of how bad it looked.

If someone in QA flagged an animation/character detail because they thought that "people will think that this looks bad" they might get fired.
