The only reason that was a thing with War Zone was due to PS5 running ps4 version of war zone. It was updated 2 weeks later for ps5 and now has HDR at 120hz

Madden is not based on last gen and even turning off HDR it is 60hz

This is all due to having no VRR. Plain and simple

Madden cannot lock to 120hz all throughout on series x. During game play it can and replays but splash screens and some fan views can have huge dips on series x to about 35fps to 120fps. That would cause huge hitchehs and screen tearing on ps5 due to the lack of vrr

Maybe madden 22 patches PS5 version when VRR comes which I doubt is any time soon

Peformance mode on series x is not 60fps it is 120hz so you can only judge it vs quality mode at 60fps with 30fps in replays and cutscenes

Performance mode on an hdmi 2.1 tv with console set to 120hz the game runs at 120fps during gameplay and replays in perf mode and can dip during stadium panning and splash screens. It is never 60fps...That is only on quality mode

Hey do you find when playing madden on your c9 that the brightness will fluctuate? It can happen mid play. I’ve tried adjustments in the tv and my PS5 but can’t seem to find out how to stop it.

Will anyone create a youtube video with testing data thats definitive?

I suspect EA wants to avoid the 1 system performing better than the other drama. Thats the only logical thought I can come up with for them not putting out official info on what each mode targets on both systems. All we have is an Xbox advertisement of 120. Nothing from PlayStation, nothing from EA.

I understand how it works I'm saying I dont see or feel a difference in 120hz mode vs 60hz mode performance on the series x

Nope. I've professionally calibrated my C9 and have corrected the HDR tone curve so that's no longer an issue.
