Performance or Quality?

Quality in both ps5 and series x only does 60 during gameplay, not during replays, intros, cutscenes, or after play animations.

Performance on PS5 locks everything to 60fps and on series x it unlocks the fps and hits up to 120fps... Some slight decrease in visuals for sure

Hmm, I guess I wasn't aware of what that meant since I play FFXIV on PS5 at 1440p all the time so was confused. And I was wrong about my Madden video it wasn't 1440p it was 2160p.

I just don’t understand why EA wouldn’t say what each option is. Just take any guesswork and speculation out of it. There should be a text box, when you switch between the two, that tells you what it is.

Little confused here. Mostly bc I’m old. . I have a PS5 playing on a LG CX OLED which is 2.1, capable of 120 (I think). Should I be running Madden on performance or quality? What’s the pros and cons of each?

I don't say this often but would be nice if 2k also provides a performance or quality mode like madden does thus year, even if it's just having the cut scenes be 60fps. And if it's similar to how Madden is on the xbox series x provides 120fps then that would be quite the selling point to make me want to get a series x at least for my sports games.

It does not appear that Madden runs at 120 on PS5. But performance mode should provide the smoothest gameplay with the least amount of hiccups. If your someone who cares more about pretty graphics go with quality mode although most have said they can’t tell any significant differences between the 2 modes graphically.

I can’t tell the difference between the two. I prefer performance mode for sure. This puts Madden on another level for me. Very nice edition. Playing on the XSX by the way.
