It'll be in the settings menu. You'll find Game Options, Penalties, Player Skill and CPU Skill there.

For auto-subs just click on the picture of John Harbaugh (Ravens HC).

Re: GJD23 & WTBB's Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

I'm also looking to lower Kickoff Power for both HUM and CPU as I saw ZERO kickoff return yards in this game by either team. I haven't seen many of them before this too. I play with a house rule on these that if I see it's gone far enough back into the endzone I just kneel it for a touchback. But when I'm the one who's kicking off I usually land it in the middle of the endzone and the return man doesn't bother taking it out.

Did some more research regarding returns for the 2012-2013 season...

There were 1395 kickoff return attempts in that season. 16 games x 32 teams = 512 games.

1395/512 = 2.72 (3)...3 kick returns per game, per team across the league.

Now the total yards gained on kick returns in the 2012-2013 season came to 32,892 yards.

32,892 yards divided by 1395 returns = 23.57 yards per return.

So the simple fix for this is to just not kick the ball as deep into the endzone, lol. If teams can bring it out to the 20-25 I'm happy. So I'm going to lower both kickoff power for HUM and CPU from 55 to 52.

Going to fire up another game with the same sliders as in the OP, however with these two subtle changes;

Kickoff power (HUM & CPU) - 52
Tackling (HUM & CPU) - 85

Pursuit is already good (at 91 it's perfect and the distribution is great between defensive positions) but I simply need more. Hoping that upping tackle slider will not affect anything else.

I know you all are working on tackles per gm too, did the lower tackle slider help?

I'm still testing my set w 50/50 AP w/ adjusted penalties. I will be able to get some more games in tomorrow and Thursday.
Looking forward to comparison on our sliders.

Thanks for all the updates!
You mean the box scores of the videos? I stole all those scores from the end of charters thread so you can check that to see the exact settings for each. They were pretty much the same as we have now with different penalties I think.

Re: GJD23 & WTBB's Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

Finished 49ers @ Cowboys

Cowboys finished with 60 team tackles, 49ers 50. Similar numbers to what I got before so I'm going to revert back to the settings in the OP and try and find another way of getting more tackles. Distribution is still great though, Bruce Carter and Sean Lee led tackles for the Cowboys with 11 and 9, and Navarro Bowman lead 49ers with 8.

If I can increase total tackles by 10 we are completely DONE on the defensive side of the ball.

Oh yeah you're on XBOX, don't think it's going to work. I just wanted to flick through end of season league stats.

I've started letting the CPU decide. If they kneel I kneel if they take off I'll take control and try a return. But with it at 55 I boot almost every one out if end zone, so i don't mind seeing it lower.

The thing about tackle higher is it may make corners better tacklers and take away from some other positions. Is tackles per game about the same as plays per game? Just thinking about it logically it seems like every play shoulder either end in a tackle, incomplete/interception, out of bounds, or touchdown. So to get more tackles per game we need more overall plays per game? Just a thought.

Loving these stat tidbits! Interesting to see all the numbers behind the game we watch all the time and never really think about. I've focused on things like YPA and YPC but that's about it. Thanks for the research!

BTW how were the pancakes and sacks in that last game?

I'm thinking of leaving CPU Kick Power at 55 and taking HUM Kick Power down to 53. If I have it at 55 the CPU will not return it at all. I can almost always get near full power on my kicks and having it at 55 they almost always result in a touchback. With CPU at 55 however the kicks still go the same distance as HUM but I'm controlling the return man so I can take it out and I'll start taking it out more often.

You're exactly right. NFL average last year was 132 tackles a game, 66 for each team. I guess more plays would be the best way to do it but I don't know how we go about doing it. We had a good thing going with the settings in the OP so I'm going to leave them like that for now, I'll wait till you get a few games going to see what we can do. We just simply need more tackles. Tackles are going to the right positions and they look great, but if we're 20 tackles below league average (10 for each team) then over a 16 game season we'll be well down and it won't look right.

Yeah pancakes with KR/PR INT are now fixed, lol. I only got like 2 for each team last game. KR/PR INT at 91 has been a blessing in disguise.
