LOL, I cant believe how fun it is to develope a game. Its very time consuming but for the most part, its been a fun ride. Just the thought of having a game play the way YOU want it to play is enough inspiration.

I've said it once before, but IMO, all EA games are designed with multiplayer in mind. They know ppl will skip through cut-scenes when playing against a opponent so they dont waste time and money making them.

IMO, it really is sad that this year there is not going to be an upgrade to the presentation in the way we were expecting. For the first time in many years I think I will pass on Madden.

If they're saving all the wonders and "upgrades" for the X360 version then I'll be a happy camper. But I'm not shelling out the $ for this game. While the upgrades look great, it's not worth cutting into my NCAA time this year...

I don't think we need "elaborate cutscenes," just anything to pump a little life into the Madden series. A little presentation would go a long way in making the game more enjoyable to play. IMO, when it is just "call a play, run the play, call a play, run the play, etc," it gets old rather quickly. Does it have to be mind-blowing, in-your-face presentation? No. But it would be nice to see them to something... anything at all to improve what's basically been stagnant for years.

Exactly everyone's point. Want an example?

Remember in 2005, the first time you or the CPU had a chance to kick a game winning FG at the end of the 4th quarter or in OT? Remember that cool little camera angle we had that was lower and you could see the kick almost from the eye of holder? It's little things like that that really make a game's enjoyment skyrocket... and we need more of that with Madden.

If you took that same damn game from 2005 and completely re-did the presentation and fixed the bugs, people would still think 2006 would be better... they focus "so much time" on gameplay improvements... at this age of the title there's no reason they couldn't have taken a few members of the dev team and focused on presentation. Look at the difference in presentation from MLB 2006 to previous titles...

Coach mode is important to me, yeah. And I’m not looking for anything – credibility or otherwise. I commented on the videos because they look identical to Madden 02-03, console version. Blech.

The OTHER game I played a ton was Madden 02 for the PC. That game had a completely different engine than the 02 and up console versions, and the 03 and up PC versions… which were simply console ports. The 02 PC version looked 5 times better than the later console versions: players models, stadiums, everything. Plus it had Pat Summerall who was tons better than what’s his name IMO. And overall, it was a great game.

Then in 03 they began porting the 03 console to the PC. Plus EA started removing user-editing features – just as they always do. And that was it for me. They turned Madden-PC into a vastly inferior console game.

So I don’t hate Madden. I just won’t settle for that rehashed, ugly, washed-out, inartistic console version with the baboon player models.

So true. It wouldn't be that hard to inject a little more life into the game.
