Gotta chime in on this. It is inexcusable that they are taking this away for this generation, and really puts the exlamation point on the fact that this will be the first Madden game I don't purchase in over 10 years. I am so ANGRY that both this game and the MLB game are such huge disapointments, and they're the only game out there. These exlusivity deals are absolutley killing sports video games.

This feels the same to me as if someone somehow came up with an exclusive license on all first person shooters, and all you could play was one half-assed shooter game, and you just had to hope against hope that HASG II made major improvements, and then you found out that HASG II that you could only have 3 kinds of weapons, but they'll maybe release additional types of weapons for a nominal cost.

I think we can all look forward to additional weapons err, I mean roster updates at a nominal cost. They'll do it free this year, then they'll institute a policy were you can pay a dollar to get it a month earlier, and then they'll just make you pay for it altogether. Gauranteed.

Fred over at MN is answering questions and he stated that he didn't see an option anywhere to edit players.

This is from IGN. Apparently you can edit equipment for Superstars, but I have no idea whether you can for other players. Also, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN CREATE A PLAYER OUTSIDE OF SUPERSTAR MODE?

Also apparently you cannot simply create a player and edit his ratings, you have to actually go through the mini camp drills. It looks like EA is really trying to discourage the players from roster editing this year.

Right. I pointed that out earlier in this thread. Why would they want to discourage us from editing rosters? One can only guess. As I've said, my guess is so that more people will download their official roster updates. Why they'd want that? Who freakin' knows?

Unfortunately, the only thing I can think of (and people have mentioned it before) is because they will start charging for updated "OFFICIAL" rosters.
