Does the A.I. feel improved at all? What stands out as different from '07?

Thanks.

have they updated the players' photos? Does Kirk Morrison of the Raiders have a photo or a generated picture like past years.

It's his real photo. As for what stands out so far. I'd have to say just the new modes more than anything. It's a lot like years previous just a bit more features and maybe a bit more animations and polish.

Unless I'm missing something, custom playbooks are still not usable in franchise......why is this so hard to fix?

Re: *OFFICIAL OS* Madden Impressions/Questions Thread (PS2/XBox)

Impressions:

-Menus look dead on from last year except different backgrounds
-Music sucks unless you like reggaeton & rock
-There are new mini games
-Eagles have their blue/gold jerseys, Jets have their navy/gold jerseys, Redskins have their new alternate, Steelers have their 75th anniversary jersey
-There are a few new hit animations and break tackle animations
-Hit Stick 2.0 is in
-Silver jerseys (Raiders, Lions, Pats) actually are considered white this year, so you don't have to play white vs silver anymore
-They call more PI now finally
-You can see more than 4 weapons on a team at one time
-New playbook on offense called Trick Plays
-New jumping animations on offense
-New bluff play art/coach cam visuals: can show fake play art for play action, pass, or run; works on defense too
-If you spotlight a WR on the right, and they run left, you'll be in trouble
-If you see a RB's route highlighted in green, they will automatically go in motion when you snap the ball (ala the Saints)
-There are gang tackles

Franchise impressions:
-Weekly gameplan: you can practice 3 plays that are your opponent's weakness, and you see what plays they like to run, although I'm not sure if it's true or just random
-Everything else is the same, dead on from last year
-Oh one thing, the player roles are back from last year, but they don't effect the weapons. The only role that isn't from last year is the one you got for starting every game.
