An attempt at these timing patterns are simply interceptions.

I wonder if they will try anything with it for this year?

Agreed 100%. I don't know how many times I've gotten so pissed off at Madden, just due to that. The game has felt too "robotic" for too long. Lets hope that's fixed.

I cannot replicate what you did in the vids. I did manage to make the TE stop on the out route but its not nothing I could do consistently and most of the time he dropped the ball. That was with controlling and not controlling the QB.

Also what happens when you try to do that with the defense on the field ?

You have to do it really fast, but it can be done. It's all about timing. Watch the drop by the QB, it's only a one step drop. That's why I said you have to control the QB. On all plays but the 90's the the QB will do a 3 to 5 step drop making it virtually impossible to throw the pass. On any deep pattern (10 plus yards before the cut / slant) I can reroute every time without a problem. It's only on the short routes that I had trouble, mainly because I struggle getting the pass off fast enough (timing) and ended up throwing during the 'no mans land' area.

When the defense is on the field, if you throw the pass, they will react the same way as if you had thrown a normal streak pass. i.e. You get no benefit from throwing this way, and it doesn't confuse the defense or cause a problem with coverage in general.

This 2K8 garbage is just old now. If Madden played like a 2K game there would still be cheesers, complaints about animations, glitches, stupid AI and a plethora of other things.

APF 2K8 was a nice change of pace from broken Madden games. The only real problem is that the learning curve on APF is about 6-18 months. You have to learn how to deal with 5 second delays in any type of user controlled player action. After that, you have to learn all the different functions of the controller for different players (depending on their 'abilities').

With D-Line pressure and a defense on the field he isn't making those passes as easy as he is with only Offense on the field.

I never use just offense in Practice.

I don't understand...based on your second video the receivers in 2k8 had the same psychic ability to tell when the ball was going to be thrown as in Madden. The TE examples he turned around completely without finishing his route at all and without seeing that the ball was thrown. How did he know the ball was going to be thrown? How is that any different than Madden?
