Re: Madden 12 - damn it's nice

I made a comment a while back that I predicted that NCAA 13 will be the better of the two games. Is this true? I haven't played NCAA 13 retail version only the demo.

I feel overall NCAA 13 is a better package than M13.

Gameplay is silky smooth, same awesome passing system, far better presentation with ESPN and the in game updates, and ESPN Bottom Line Ticker.

You feel part of the NCAA and everything it brings each and every Saturday.

Games are really fun and unpredictable.

Speaking as a co-op only gamer, Madden 12 is easily the best current gen Madden imo and, with the updated rosters from OS, it's still very enjoyable.

I was hoping that M13 would build on the Franchise mode by adding weekly round ups, highlights of other matches, highlights for each team that you could watch in the pregame show prior to playing them etc, really immersive stuff to make you feel like you were playing in a season with other functioning teams that possessed character traits and had top performers in their team.

Shame that hasn't happened yet, maybe next year eh!

M12 was a ok game but i seriously cant understand how some of you guys could ever go back to playing it.Infinity Engine makes all previous madden games feel slow and robotic to me.

With the scripting of collisions the infinity engine is little more than a glorified articulation animator. Sure everything in 12 is scripted, but the pros outweigh the cons. Your obviously not an offline franchise player.... Offline, connected careers is unplayable even with nice looking collisions. The collisions in 12 aren't that bad either.

To each their own though. I believe that BackBreaker physics engine tops Maddens, but that's my opinion.

To add to my previous post

- Removed team run out and player introductions
- Lighting in stadiums with retractable roofs not working correctly in 13 - lighting makes it seem as if roof is always closed
- Removed ability to edit game play and penalty settings during game play
- Running animations better in 12
- Auto subs and fatigue work like they should in franchise.
- Threshold works properly in 12
- lack of interaction between WR and defensive backs. Very little jostling at the line of scrimmage - great in 12

I will continue to add to this list as I see these things removed in 13

I wonder how large this list can become.
