HoRam and Chuckie are carrying the rotation. Huddy and Smoltz have to get on track. If they do we can win some games from here on out.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Look guys..

We're 9 games out of the Wild Card. If we can cut it down to 6 or so by the All-Star Break, who says we can't get that spot?

Gotta remain positive. Hudson has to get back on track, and the young guys like James have to continue to contribute.

Let's DO this!

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I'll go on record as saying we will make the playoffs. I even went out and made a bet with my friend. He said the Mets are locks to go to the WS, ofcourse I disagreed. So he said that I should pick a team I think will make it and we place a bet. I said the Braves so the bet is on. I think we can take the WC. Maybe after 14 years of winning the division and not doing much, lately, in the post-season; that winning the WC will be something different.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Has anyone gotten their ChopTalk yet and checked out the poster for this month? We usually hang the posters in my son's room, but I doubt this one makes it up. The poster is titled "Laughing at Father Time" and features the dynamic duo of Brian Jordan and Mike Remlinger.

Classic work there!!!

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Maybe barely sqeaking into the playoffs as the Wild Card might give us a chip on our shoulder, with something to prove.

One of the problems of the division runs is that we win usually very comfortably when all is said and done, that when we reach October, we have to get our "competitive fire" back, and usually it takes too long to get.

This time, if we win the Wild Card, we'll most likely have to be battling till the final weekend, and we'll go in with some momentum.

Still a lot to do though, just gotta win 2 of 3 for most series from here on out.
