Ugggh, and a terrible May comes to an end. Let's face it, despite the wins, April wasn't all that great either. This club is going right down the crapper unless something happens quick. June might make or break this team's chances.

That would require them to go back to fundamentals and I just dont see that happening honestly. I didn't bother watching the last 2 games because frankly I'm not interested in a team incapable of moving runners around the bases despite have 0 or 1 outs in the inning.

I will be 98% shocked if they finish above .500 this season and that will hopefully wake the office up.

Yea big disappointment. I don't see us even coming close to .500 by end of year.

Re: 2011 Colorado Rockies

The solution is so simple yet its not because, well its baseball. They're batting numbers as a team are not horrible but that doesn't paint the picture of the struggles they've been having at the plate.

Starting rotation HAS to make it deeper into games to allow the bullpen to stay fresh but like the offensive solution, easier said than done.

Depending on how Jimenez does in his next few starts, I would not be opposed to him going to Sky Sox for a couple of games to figure out what the hell is wrong. He's only been past the 6th inning twice this year. 2009 he managed to get 6 games past the 6th inning, 2010 he went 8 games past the 6th inning by this point of the season

It's seems like everytime we get a good outing from our pitching staff the runs aren't there for support. It's getting frustrating.

And that is what they need to do on more than the once a week occasion. Moved the runners over, got runs in by the sacrifice. The big hits will come, small ball will win you more games.

I'm glad to see someone else mention fundamentals, because that's exactly what a big part of this team's problems is. Outfielders running into each other, mistakes on the basepaths, mental errors in the field, poor AB's, etc. No one mentions it, not Troy Renck, not the commentators, but it's really annoying to see a big league team doing stuff like that.
