The new tag, branch animations and catcher improvements are cool, but I'm worried about the accuracy of some of these throws. Too accurate imo. I'm sure this can be adjusted with slider sets.

No pitching stuff today. Not sure if it'll be in a future stream or not.

I know I already mentioned it once. But I just watched the stream again. Boy, the fingers and hands moving on the bats while standing in the box just really adds something.

Agreed. The throwing error slider left a lot to be desired in 17, so as long as they adjusted that we should be ok.

My only complaint with the stream, I wish they had talked about bunting a bit and showed if that was fixed as well.

The crowd behind the plate looks fantastic, much more alive

Re: MLB The Show 18 Twitch Stream - Gameplay & AI, Legend Vladimir Guerrero Announced

I will be thrilled if the AI doesn't gain extra bases on nonsense wild pitches every game against me.

Likewise, if the lunge tag is gone, I will be happy.

I did like the tagging, assuming it works like the on-cue examples they had. It will be nice to see the infield playing like an infield.

Glad to see that the nonsense overran catch is still there. Really wish that would be toned down and smarter outfield catches would prevail. I know it's minor and for the most part the catches are good, but still.

Didn't really talk about too much else, as always gameplay is nice to see. They spent a lot of time on the PCI and showing us how it works, which was nice I guess. But spending that much time essentially telling us how they added lines to the top and bottom...hey, it's not my game.

I didn't hear anything about pitching and the increased difficulty. That was one of the major things I was wanting to hear.

Overall, encouraged, but not blown away.
