NBA 2k17 Wishlist

1. more organic charges - currently players are fearless regarding dribbling into defenders. loose balls helps but the threat of charges for being too aggressive will bring it full circle.

2. more deflections out of bounds - makes the game less sloppy but still hurts the offense by making it work later in the shot clock.

3. more aggressive double team - people should fear the double-team. at the same time balance it by tying it to fatigue and fouls. lets see players occasionally (rarely) split it but lets see it react faster and force turnovers/tie-ball situations.

4. post windows - players with low post ratings should lose post position

5. one-handed pass animations - cosmetic? sure. buuuut...you know.

6. online profile - let me save my roster/rotations, playbook and settings.

7. more blocking fouls - especially in perimeter mismatches.

8. injured players in street clothes - you know....immersion.

So far, I enjoy NBA 2K16. It has some nice additions. However, I believe we should have some more additions in NBA 2K17 to bring a balance from all the features requiring us to be online.

My Wishlist:

1. Create-A-Team (Local Play) outside of the GM Mode / MyLeague
However, There should be a Custom Teams Online feature added where as those that create their own teams by creating custom players (12 man roster) can connect online to play against others that created their teams.

2. Everything you can do in Pro-AM concerning customization (arena, logo, jersey design) lets have these features in the Features / Options tab (Local).

3. The Create-A-Player feature in the Features / Options tab is a step up from last 2k15, but the body portion of the Create-A-Player mode needs more options. Once the weight of a player increases / decreases, that should affect the overall characters appearance. Everyone is not ripped, we should be able to morph the full body (chest, arms, legs, feet) from skinny-swole-buff, etc. Also, like previous 2k games in the past, featured tattoos along with the accessories of the character. We should be able to add tattoos and all of the accessories that a regular NBA player would wear on the court..... to our created characters.

Other than what I mentioned, everything else is good...

NBA 2k17 other ideas 4

1) protect the ball animation after rebound you should be able to press a button to protect the ball from being stripped

2) ability to designate who you want to inbound ball

5) players/coaches should be seen signaling timeouts in animations

6) refs reversing calls when looking at a replay uncertain on which player touched the ball before it went out of bounds, and have the commentaters trying to figure it out as well

7) standing ovations from home fans when a player gets up from injury or returns from injury. Also if a star/role player has a big game in a blowout and is subbed out should get a standing ovation

8) a button or badge for players that use their off-hand on drives to create seperation like melo/pierce

11) For MyGM and Mycareer show top 10 visual highlights for plays of the day/week/month - and after the finals - show plays of the year + plays of the year/highlight reel for the team who wins the finals (+ nightly game recaps and highlights, something similar to Sportscenter). For pre-game highlights show the game last played against the team your facing previous meeting against them highlights for the season and playoffs/finals

12) I'd also like to see some player/ref, coaches/ref, coaches/player interaction. Refs breaking up two players jawing. Players talking to refs during dead balls. Coaches in ref ear after a bad foul call during dead ball. One player talking to coach during freethrow attempt, etc. Coaches getting emotional to bad foul calls having to be restrained by assistant coaches. Coaches recieving warning/technical for walking outside of coaches box to talk to ref

1. Online leagues that you can join and view from the internet, just like they had in the past.

2. Feedback system / feedback rating for online matches, again like the old system

3. Unranked lobbies

4. Ability to view ranked leader boards (Play Now) in addition to viewing all of your own stats and scouting report data.

5. Fix the servers. Seriously.

6. Remove historic teams from ranked play.

7. Place greater focus on Online Play Now.

8. Remove the ability to buy wins.

9. More on-court emotion, live, less cut scenes during a game.

10. Only release monthly roster/ratings updates or as needed due to injury or trade.

1. We need an option to tilt the floor if for example we see lebron isolating on one side of the court, we can hit quick play "Tilt Floor", which will tell all weakside defenders to sag off their man and be ready to bring immediate help against lebron if he decides to go to the basket

2. There should be a "Double-Off ___ player" option. For example if I'm playing the grizzlies and Z-Bo gets the ball down-low, I want to be able to set my defensive settings for Tony Allen to "Double-off Tony Allen". So that the player defending Tony Allen is the one who comes over for the double team, not the guy guarding Mike Conley who can actually shoot.

3. Introduce something similar to the VIP system where we could download online players or our own VIP profiles and assign them to any team. To prepare us on that players tendencies or just to give us the feeling of playing online, offline against the cpu

This idea is about the VIP System or Adaptive AI for Myleague and Mycareer modes. It would be cool if the ai was able to adapt to your playstyle in MyGM and Mycareer using your season tendencies and gameplanning against that. Like putting a certain defender on player X or attacking a player on defense that has been giving up alot of points recently. If there is favorite spot you like to score from the ai would adapt and have a help defender zone you or if your in a cold shooting slump the defender will sag off of you. This will all possible if you brought back the VIP system you had years back.

4. Not every team pushes the ball on a break so how about this idea. Have a walk the ball up the court/fastbreak tendency for user/cpu for sometimes you want CPU to just slow things down ( MIGHT BE CONTROLLED BY COACHING TENDENCY)

5. Being able to call timeouts midair when ball goes out of bounds or attempt to throw ball off of of other team players. Just thinking maybe things could move in slow motion for a bit, just brainstorming on this idea off the top of my head please 2k expand on this further.

6. There should be a switch button for ex rose is guarding lebron I should be able to run over with butler and press the switch button to get rose to switch. It would really help on pick and roll defense

7. This rating, badge, tendency or option is for bigman like Ben Simmons, Draymond Green that like to push the ball in transition after a rebound, there should be a rating, badge, tendency or option for players like that. "Bigman one man fastbreaks"

1) the little things when a player gets up from a hard foul or trip he points towards the floor to get the wet spot cleaned up for the floor sweeper guy

2) the little things during a hard foul or a tough screen I want player to kneel down clutching their stomach like they just got the wind knocked out of them. Also touch their mouth, hold their heads, hold their arms as if they felt the impact

3) I don't know if this is in the game but there should be a button to manually avoid charges before layups

4) add more personnel to benches (assistant coaches, trainers)

5) layup modifier I want to be able to place the basketball during a layup/floater high off the glass

6) the little things point guard talking to coach during free throw attempt

8) the little things players stepping over fallen players (ala iverson over tyronn lue)

9) dump-off bounce passes

10) For Mygm and Mycareer have players have disputes with coaches which leads to them needing to be benched or suspended ala demarcus cousins

Regarding the tip-off animation: The new animation of players preparing with their arm upwards is a nice touch, but not realistic.

It should look like this:




Players need be preparing to jump, even almost starting to jump and go back to the bending down. They should be totally focused on the ball and be in motion, not just frozen with their arms pointing upwards. In other words, it needs to by more dynamic, not so motionless.

There HAS to be a revamp in passing. The passing as it is now is just brutal. So tired of having an open cutter to the basket and the ball gets stolen by the guy guarding me. Either that, or the ball gets thrown nowhere close to where it should.

Also, can we please get rid of the Hands attribute? What player in the NBA can't catch a ball? Sick of seeing players bobble chest passes lol. This isn't football.
