Not the way he intended to be interpreted.

The cap system is in place to prevent a 99 3pt. The ability to manage single attributes vs using groups of attributes in a bucket is a separate subject than how high attributes go.

A cap system and an individual attribute system can coexist without breaking the integrity of the stats.

Re: Ten buckets fam!

So I'm curious, what's the fun in having a 99 across the board player? Do people really play long term with a guy like that? I mean in madden I used to create someone like this just to mess around in practice with, but it sounds awfully boring in MyCareer as I get bored with most of MyPlayers once it becomes too easy.

Personally, I never bought that excuse that people should be allowed to be 99 rated, so they can use the player offline due to it being their game. I feel that 99% of people who want the ability to create a 99 overall player is because they want to use that player ONLINE.

MyCareer would get boring quick if you could average 80 PPG, 30 RPG, 15 APG, and 5 SPG every time you picked up the controller.

So my 5ft9 point guard needs to be able to be an insane dunker just to be able to make layups again?

Stupid.

This is exactly what's happened to me ever since moving to PS4 starting with 2K15.

On PS3 2K14, I averaged about 14 RPG--still a lot, but realistic, given how much DeAndre Jordan gets.

But thirty a game? With far lower rebound attributes? I was starting to wonder if I wasn't just that good, and I was actually accidentally cheesing/exploiting the game. I even made a thread about this two months ago.

But apparently, no, it really has been that easy to rack up the boards lately. I like being the "DeAndre Jordan if he could make free throws" of a team, but this is ridiculous.

Oh, and this happens when player-locked in MyLeague/MyGM, too.

Considering the right team and you can easily put up 50/15/7/4 in almost any career game currently, yeah. That's on sim/superstar. Once you hit 99, or even mid 90s, you're a tank in career.

It shows height has detrimental effect on dunking. So I don't think he will be "insane" dunker.

Not the individualized attributes though. Everything is in but that. Just have to bring that back and we're golden. Just literally make categories however it makes most sense and allow the user to apply VC to individual attributes within those said categories. Like a filter for example:

You go to defense and you want VC to spread across that category it should allow the simple user to do just that if they don't care or understand what attributes do what. Or for the more advanced users who know EXACTLY how they want to mold their player they can enter that category and spend VC on whatever attribute they would like single handedly instead of spending VC for the defense category as a whole. You catch my drift now? Both parties win.
