This class should seek out contact and be rewarded for it. The priority should be on not letting them get a head of steam, but if they do get a head of steam, you should be at risk.

That said, I don't have the floater badge yet, so that could be utterly OP with such high layup/close ratings.
Our finishing is high but our strength is low... Most times if you go barreling into the defense you'll be thrown off because defenders are stronger than you. It's not OP.

Yes! i am facing the same issue which is very anoyying (those packages cost alot of VC).

Anyway guys i was thinking since slashers are quiet rare in the game (in comparsion to other builds) why dont we make this also a tip/startegy thread?

ill begin. me and my friends are usually spreading the floor, allowing me to attack the basket and dish it out if my matchup gets help by his teamates. if you are feeling confident in your abillity to get passed your defender, you can tell your teammates to stay on the same corner, allowing you to attack the basket on the other side.

Re: Thoughts on the slasher build.

I'm a 6.7 PG slasher with every badge hall of fame and 94 overall. Slashers are very hard to play with. A layup on a smaller defender still is an F rating and even with hall of fame posterizer the dunk animations either cancel or turn into a layup which will miss. I hate this. They need to fix the layups. I shouldn't time the layup's pretty well with relentless finisher and acrobat hall of fame to still get a F on a smaller defender. Whereas every other archetype can do everything they're supposed to with no problem.

Re: Thoughts on the slasher build.

The badges for slasher need to be reworked a little as well. SF should have acrobat as an upgradable badge instead of lob city finisher.

Posterizer seems to very rarely help with contact dunks. Out of 25 park games I seen 7 contact dunk animation, but only made 1 with posterizer gold.

Relentless finisher Imo should help with contact layups instead of reducing energy loss on contact. This would help so much with layups.

Re: Thoughts on the slasher build.

Even with the layup issues, I think Slasher can be successful, but it is a support class. I'd like to see a team, Park or Pro Am, focus on allowing the Slasher to cut to the rim without the ball, full court and half court. Really curious to see how that plays out if you push that strategy, especially if you can time floaters well.

My team does that for me. Its not effective. Any contact makes the layup impossible, I've yet to get an and 1 with a layup though i have everything hall of fame. I do not recommend slashers at all until they patch something. This the biggest waste of money ever.

Bump Bump Bump

My $50 gift card boom gone on slasher that I can't even use as a slasher. My created player plays more like a center with no rebound or block strength. No dribble, no speed, and can't finish with even a slight contact.

I also have gold posterizer, gold fast break, and gold relentless finisher to go with 87 rated player. So sad that we spent all this money but yet have to go to park and watch all the shot creators and playmakers drain everything and dribble around us like sheep

I really hoping for a patch ! Hopefully if all of us reach out to 2k team then can take a look at this. At this state slasher is the bottom of the list the worst type to create.

Re: Thoughts on the slasher build.

i dont see anything wrong with that video in the 1st post. lin had an angle on you and he had all his momentum going to your left. you should have done a quick crossover and went to the right to get a better angle for yourself, and it probably would have freed up your running teammate on the left for a wide open layup.
