I’m curious if the AI is smart enough this year to match up appropriately on D based on the actual player, rather than position.

For example, if I put Durant at the four, will the CPU guard him with whover is at the PF position, or will they match up with a competent defender. Hopefully, the latter.

Played a few minutes of the 2ku. Initial impressions, the game feels great. I will play more in the morning.

EDIT- How do you change difficulty in 2Ku? Maybe the option appears when the demo reaches 100% download.. I started playing when my download was around 40%

Right stick steal. Chuck the ballhandler. Shade pass right. Shade pass left. You can now keep someone in front of you. No more auto blowbyes.

You're killing me now Rob, i'm at work, just started you know the time difference here, and have like 8-9 hours still to get home and you tell all these freaking awesome impressions... You're killing me mate!

Small touch but i love the fact that broadcast stadium cam is now able to be adjusted. And its playable in mycareer which may actually allow me to give the mode a shot this year.

Just finished my first game in the CBA and man.. what a blast. Improvements in nearly every aspect of gameplay. I hope the full version plays this well. Im incredibly pleased with what I’ve seen thus far...

Played about 5 sessions of the 2KU tutorial on Superstar.

The fluidity of shooting a jumper is so good.

Rebounding played out in a more logical manner

The evaluation of the openness of a shot is exponentially better.

The one thing that bothered me was the CPU defenders smothering Steph, Klay, and KD 30 feet from the basket when they haven't used their dribble. Play tight yeah, but smothering should lead to too many blowbys or blocking fouls.

The part in bold sounds "pick your poison" to me which is cool.

One of my big issues with 2k18 is the baseline blowby cheese; offline vs. hof cpu. Whenever you need a bucket that’s what you do; self enforced house rules.

"First impression" of baseline cheese seems to be drastically, drastiscally, drastically improved in Prelude 19’. Initially it was on default difficulty, then I bumped it up to hall of fame. CPU plays the baseline much better, no more real blowby cheese. If anything, you’re actually often stepping out of bounds, or you’re completely stopped in your tracks, or there’s a blocking foul, or your shot is well contested. You may still be able to make a bucket, but it’s no longer guaranteed. .... first impressions.
