Air Force took one on the chin here. a pissed off Notre Dame team came to play LOL. although we got off to a slow start, a scoreless 1st quarter had me worried..

AF running backs gained 110 rushing yards on me, hardest fought 110 yards ever! man where they tough to bring down.

the one thing still bothering me with these sliders are the drops by the CPU WR's. at 50 they drop nothing, at 25 they go through streaks of dropping everything.

i might allow myself to add an adjustment to my 0/25/50/75/100 chart... for Madden i use 37, as the number between 25 and 50. as a half way point to make a level between all pro and all madden. i "might" do that here just to see how the WR's catch the ball. i know we cant adjust by 1's, but ill round down and instead of 37 ill go with 35. maybe that number right there will be a happy medium for me and solve the only thing really bothering me. hmmmmmmmmmmm!

I'm using them as posted, and using Northern Illinois in my second season. I'm currently 8-2 lost to Illinois 63-61 in triple overtime and got crushed by a good Toledo team. Everybody else I've beat convincingly but with my defense not so strong giving up lots of yards.

I'm using threshold @ 50, and have not had more than 4 breakaway plays. I've had a long run of over 50 yards for a TD but only because my WRs blocked well. I've had a 70 or so yard punt return and then a few other 30-40 yard runs. I'm gonna try threshold @ 75 because my rushing ave is about 7-10 yards per game. The other thing I've noticed is that the pre game adjustments because the penalties are basically broken, you can set hold blocks longer to aggressive with no negative effects, so I just leave them all at normal.

I was also running a created pistol playbook in season one and was not effective for my team so I went to a more traditional pro style created playbook which is suiting my style better. I think it's tougher to run out of pistol when your O line is not especially strong so I switched as the running plays hit a little faster before the defense can id the play.

Other than that I'm enjoying these. I'm gonna try raising pass coverage too, but I think it won't make any difference on how open a receiver gets.

trust me, ive had slideritus, i wont ever catch it again.

if you seen my Madden 12 sliders and the Madden 25 ones i posted i use 37 as a middle ground between all pro and all madden. with no fiddling etc, ha!

since NCAA dont let me do that, i can just round down to 35 and leave it. bc honestly, the cpu drops are my only issue. i can adjust all the other stuff and it works well.

before i even go about that though, im going to try WR at 50 for a few more games and see how it goes.

I have Hum RBA at 20, and CPU PCV at 55. zero ill effects.

Damn u Fiddy. Before your concept (which I like to call the 5 point scale) I never would have jumped into making my own sliders. But now because of u all of a sudden I think I can make a good set myself lol.

So I always wanted to make a set that was not so much based on actual college stats but on the sim engine stats (for better or worse) because that is what u are comparing yourself to. The game. Not real life.

So now I will undertake this task (because of u lol) and see if I can come up with something good. I have a small sample size so far but I'm liking what I see. If or when I actually get something that might be credible I'll start a thread. But just wanted to say its all your fault lol.

the 5 point scale, i like that. lol

everyone is capable of making decent sliders for themselves. just a lot of people, well the majority of people dont mess with adjusting them bc of so many different variables. they just figure, im not messing with anything.

i can see why they dont want to, make a click here, 1 point here, 5 there. not worth it. but having this type of scale makes it easy to adjust.

like i said before, if posting what i did helps one other guy have more fun playing, then dang it, it was well worth posting.

they ran the ball great, per usual. they #1 in the country! thats all they did, their passing attack sucked. Ha!

its funny, after the USC beat down, i hammered two teams i should have and did.

penalties in this game, i had clipping and facemask bumped to 75, all those penalties you see above, were all in the 1st half. i moved them back down to 50. no happy medium it seems with those, its either every other play, or none at all. bah!
