I fully expect 2K's game to go all-in on this childish customization "express your creativity" crap you are seeing everywhere in games now chasing that Fortnite/Fall Guys money.

There are going to be a bunch of different costumes and accessories you can outfit the players with. Expect to see Derrick Henry rushing in a hotdog costume. Or Aaron Rodgers throwing passes in a taco suit with a stupid unicorn helmet on his head.

They will probably have some virtual world you can walk around in to show off or "floss" with cheesy emotes called something like "The 'Hood".

Ridiculously cringey touchdown celebrations? You bet. That will be $2.99 a pop thank you. (For the individual celebrations. The "team" celebrations like where all your costumed players do something stupid liike pretend they are rowing together in a canoe will be $4.99)

I think it would work nowadays just would need to have a great customization features, create a team and in-depth franchise mode. Add a version of the Park/yard which could have Team unis and logo's in it and promote competitive online play. Season and franchise mode completely generic ,all this while using real nfl players but not the real teams. I've heard that All pro wasn't considered simulation btw..

It's not about threatening the NFL, a new one would have all the same challenges (licensing, business model, fan support) and to fix all of that you're no longer remaking the old one.
