Also seeing that Haren is now a Free Agent maybe the Jays can give him a competitive offer and see if he bites.
I'm not sure Adeiny is a starter next year, I still think AA's gonna make a move. I'm not sure we get rid of Escobar that easily either, although I wouldn't mind it either way.

I'm not sure about Haren... back problems + declining velocity + lower swing rates + expensive = big risk.

Why wouldn't they? Do teams not need starting pitching anymore?

You mean other than because he pitched pretty well for them this past season?

The A's are pretty much set on their rotation why waste money on a guy who has a history of being injure almost 70% of the time since 06-07. They have good young pitchers, and they can use that money on some bats. Colon is old, injured all the time, and got suspended this season.

Agreed about Haren but it sounds like one of those low risk high reward kind of things AA likes to do especially if he can get him at the right price. The Jays had made a really good offer on Beltran last offseason. (There's a report that came out that the Jays gave the best offer available but his agent rather than showing Beltran the offer, used it as leverage to get a better deal from the Giants)

I doubt he signs for less than 10-11M, though, and that isn't really the right price. My offseason wishlist is:

LF: Josh Willingham
2B: A crapload of options
SP: Shaun Marcum, Anibal Sanchez/Scott Baker, and a #1 acquired via trade (Josh Johnson, David Price, James shields, Johan Santana)

Wouldn't mind signing an international free agent like Jose Dariel Abreu or Alfredo Despaigne. Either could DH for us.

I like the way you think, I actually think Anibal Sanchez would be the best "fit" out of the pitchers you mentioned but I wouldn't mind trading for one of the Tampa starters. I mean, the prospects have to be to used for trade bait at some point right?

Though I'd be a bit sad if D'Arnaud is traded.

Really hoping Jays can sign some guys for the middle infield positions.

Keppinger at 2B and then maybe Jays could sign Theriot and split time with him and Hech. Theriot plays 4 games a week, Hech plays the other 2-3?

McCarthy,Marcum are 2 guys I'm hoping Jays get for their rotation.

1.Romero
2.Morrow
3.Marcum
4.McCarthy
5.Someone like Happ?

There's so much talent that can change teams in this years pool. Not really alot of star guys(Hamilton,Greinke are the biggest names), but the depth from the pool is good enough to completely change a team. Lets just hope the Jays spend 90-100M this year. If they do, they can easily afford all the 4 guys I mentioned above, PLUS more.
