They tried to defend against your post, but they were beat off the line.

I dont think anybody remembers as well that Chicago was looking to draft him and we allowed Sandiego to trade into that spot without a challenge.

LT is the best player in the NFL and has been for a few years now. He's quickly looking like his name will HAVE TO be in the discussion for greatest RB ever in just a few more years (barring injury).

So, why the free pass for Atlanta, Arizona, Cleveland and Cincy?

#1: Atlanta - Michael Vick - QB - Virginia Tech
#2: Arizona - Leonard Davis - T - Texas
#3: Cleveland - Gerard Warren - DT - Florida
#4: Cincinnati - Justin Smith - DE - Missouri
1. 2 years ago, the Charges "made the worst trade ever trading Vick for LDT"

2. Vick was the Hakeem to Jordan in the draft. He instantly keeps Atlanta from being a bottom feeder team when he's healthy, wheras the Chargers still sucked with LDT. I think Atlanta would still draft Vick if allowed to do it again.

3. Justin Smith can be in the same catagory. Not as good as Vick or LDT, but hardly worthless. Obviously LDT is better, but he's a big piece on solidifying Cinci's D

4. Cinci also had a guy named Corey Dillon. He was the LDT before LDT, the best back in the NFL on the worst team.

5. Going back to #2. In basketball, Jordan could have been on the worst team in the NBA and led them to the playoffs. The Chargers didn't do anything until Brees stepped up. LDT still would have needed major help in
Atlanta, Phoenix, Cinci, or Cleaveland.

6. 4 teams passed on him. There's not a single team you can blame it on like there is with Bowie.

What is some people's issue with the use of LT? Did the first LT trademark it?

So you know who the player in question is. Obviously in this case, it's Thomlinson, but in more broad cases, LT can mean both. LDT is just easier to use so there's no confussion. I also type out Oregon St, Oklahoma St, Fresno St, and other things where there're multiple things with the same initials.
