Re: What should the NFL do to Dante Wesley

I guess the last thing I will say is that...

I see why it's a bad hit. I just think it was partially an accident. I don't agree at all with anyone who says ban him for life, suspend him for the season, etc. That is ridiculous IMO so I will defend him. I wasn't even sure if I agreed with him being thrown out when I watched it live. I think there is too much of accidental element in this, plus it's as much glancing blow than it is a head to head hit. I just don't get the uproar over it...

Glancing???!!?

And since when is something a "partial accident"? Is that like partially pregnant?

Glancing blow?!? Dude looked right at him, lowered his shoulder and went right for Smith's head looking to take it off.

About the exact opposite of a glancing blow to be honest.

Listen, pal.

I said it's AS MUCH A GLANCING BLOW AS IT IS A HEAD TO HEAD HIT. It's certainly not a head to head hit.

It's not a scum hit and it's not a good hit. To me, it's an illegal hit with no intent to hurt the guy.

I know you understand that, so please no smart comments needed.

I think if there was a clear intent to hurt the guy, or if he went helmet to helmet, at full speed....then a long suspension would be in order. I do not think that is the case here. So I guess if people want to argue the intent of the hit, just put one of these () in a post quoting mine.

and since I'm not going to check this thread anymore, who freaking cares anyway. It's somewhere in between a dirty and an illegal hit. There is no point in arguing. I see it from the side that he let up, got his helmet out of the way, and made a mistake.

Dude don't get upset @ other people. You need to look in the mirror. By your standards, the only way his intent could have been clearer would be if he was heared yelling, "I want to hurt you!".

The problem is you're such a homer, you can't bear to call out one of your own guys. Dante Wesley ain't paying you a retainer to represent him. You're not his agent. It's ok to to say a Panther deserves reviling. No one would question your loyalty to the team.

Take off the homer glasses & look @ it w/your natural vision.

What is with you throwing the word "homer" around with such ease? Is your argument so thin where you must resort to that to justify yourself? C'mon now you can figure out better ways to get your point across, at least I'd hope so.

Its because of what you are. I don't need to explain the truth. So far, the only people who don't believe Wesley had ill intent are Panther fans. And most Panther fans think he should be suspended.

Unless you feel no one should ever get tossed, period, the only explanation is that you are a homer who'll never see your favorite players do wrong.

And I'm not the only one who called him a homer in this thread.
