A QB that has completed less than sixty percent of his passes in the last two seasons, has never thrown for 4,000 yards in a season and never thrown more than 25 touchdown passes in a season does not deserve 20 million dollars a year.

He will get it though, which is nuts. If Flacco gets 20 does that mean a guy like Rodgers should get 30?

Yeah. I'm surprised that more owners aren't making an issue of this. Prices for players are steadily increasing thanks to inflation to player value, especially when it comes to QBs. What's the point of signing a player to that high of a salary if all it's gonna do is debilitate your ability to sign and retain any depth on your roster?

But, I guess that's the whole point of a salary cap, so... mission accomplished?

If the Ravens really want to roll the dice on this one it would be interesting to see them just tag him.

Yes I understand that means they're paying him 20 million this upcoming season, but if the wheels come off and he plays like most of us suspect he might, at least you're only out 1 year of that kind of salary as opposed to being stuck the rest of this decade.

I think Rodgers could command as much as $25M, but I also don't think he will. Rodgers is hyper-competitive and he will take a bit of a discount to help his team stay competitive, IMO.
