Logo wise I'd say it's around the middle of the league. Not a top 10 logo, but not bottom 10 either.

I can see this now...

The devoted fanbase will refer to them selves as The Krakheads.

Their stadium will be referred to as The Krakhouse by fans and foes alike. Oh the puns will be endless.

I look forward to all of the bad puns.

While most teams will be concerning themselves with which players to expose to the expansion draft, I think the Wings are lucky to not have that concern.

I hope Seattle enjoys as much success with that colour scheme as we did.

That's still too far to judge. We haven't even had the 2020 offseason yet. Most guys aren't even under contract on many teams for 2021.

If I'm a team like the wings, assuming he's still there, I'm hoping Seattle takes Nielsen.

Leafs will be a team in a tough spot. I see them losing a guy like a Kerfoot or Dermott. Although depending what their D is like by next year, if Dermott/Sandin are top 4 guys and/or Leafs get another top 4 dman through trade, Muzzin could be left unprotected.

We need a goalie to expose, but that's not a big deal.

I'm looking forward to see how Yzerman takes advantage of the expansion draft. That was one (among many) disappointing things about Holland; while Detroit didn't lose anything of note in the Vegas expansion draft, they didn't leverage it any way.

Re: Seattle Kraken (coming 2021-2022)

Speaking of the draft, it will definitely be interesting to see how teams play it this time. Vegas not only got some good players, they got good picks too. They lucked out(no pun intended) having a name as big as MAF basically handed to them. Not sure who Seattle might have available that's a big name.

Longshot, but TJ Oshie would be a good name to get. He's the closest thing Seattle has to a hometown player in the league (Oshie from Everett, a few guys from Spokane). He'd be turning 35 with 4 years left on his deal at 5.75m a year. Seattle probably not gonna be up against the cap, so they could probably get him, and Caps might leave him unprotected.

Re: Seattle Kraken (coming 2021-2022)

Pittsburgh kicked in a 2nd to incentivize Vegas taking Fleury. Based on how long Oshie's deal is, Washington would probably have to kick in more. After Vegas' first season, they ended up having to let guys like Neal and Perron go in order to extend younger talent without going over the cap.

There was also some hilariously bad asset management by teams like Florida heading into the expansion draft. Teams with lots of defensive depth also ended up paying through the nose to Vegas.
