David Price, ace pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, has been selected as the cover athlete for MLB 2K13. Price was recently named the American League Cy Young Award winner after posting a 20-5 record and league-best 2.56 ERA. "It`s a dream come true to appear on the cover of MLB 2K13," concluded Price, who helped lead the Rays to their fourth 90-win season in the last five years. "I`m looking forward to working with the 2K Sports team again, and welcoming another skilled gamer into `The Perfect Club.`"

The Perfect Game Challenge*, 2K Sports` groundbreaking $1 million competition, will also be returning for a fourth consecutive year and introduce a new contest format with exciting ways to win. Since 2010, 2K Sports has awarded $3 million in prize money to players exhibiting the highest caliber of skill in throwing a perfect game in MLB 2K. Last year`s Perfect Game Challenge achieved record participation numbers, with nearly 1 million attempts made and more than 1,000 perfect games registered. The contest was won by 21-year-old Christopher Gilmore, who prevailed in an eight-person tournament at the MLB FanCave in New York City. Complete details of this year`s contest will be announced at a later date.

Agreeing with other posters. I can't quite comprehend what you are trying to say.

Are you saying that The Show is a terrible game and that MLB 2K12 blows it out of the water, or that MLB 2K12 is terrible and The Show blows it out of the water?

oh lord, please do not have him type anything else.

As far as 2k13, I decided to sell some older games and get this on release day as well.
personally, I don't care that much if there are no new features. I imagine there will be bug fixes [along with the obvious roster update], and that's all I need because 2k12 was franchise mode nirvana for me, even with the bugs. But if they focus on cleaning that up in the 6 or so weeks they had to work on it. It's all good.
Should it be less than 60? sure, but I don't buy many games new, so...
130 dollars spent on march 5th.
oh brother.

Can you elaborate how you made it franchise nirvana?

Oread I played two series in franchise today playing 1 game each and simming the rest and I can really see how managing the bullpen is a must. I'm tempted to manage the other two games instead of simming them just to ensure my manager doesn't leave me with no one available to relief pitch.

I'm sorry, by manage I mean super-sim just to monitor my bullpen usage in games I don't play.

In 2K10 and 2K11 the fatigue model was lousy imo. Did they fix the fact the DH position still got tired over the course of a season? A DH is considered a rest position. Some teams don't like to have a full time DH just so they can rotate their players through it to give them a break. I don't want it to be a full day's rest but a 1/2 day would suffice. This ticked me off in the past.

Also, 2K11 wasn't as bad as 2K10 when using a pinch runner or hitter but as soon as you subbed a guy in the game he automatically got some fatigue, even if it was just to go up and strike out. So instead of getting a 5%-10% boost in energy for resting the guy he loses all that and gets another 1% off his energy just for one pinch hit AB. Makes no sense. Give them a 1% hit for the AB but subtract that from the rest energy. Don't just hit the reset button and nullify 8 innings of rest with a 9th inning AB. Made playing in the NL very annoying.

Also, short season fatigue was even worse. They just drop games off the menu but don't compensate for the extra time off so your players never get tired and you don't have to manage a pitching staff at all.

Fatigue is one area where 2K got it wrong in the past imo. I can't say if these were fixed in 2K12 since I didn't play that version.

Seems as though EVERYONE took my simple question out of context.

All that I was asking the poster was to clarify what the hell he was trying to say.

I understood.

Tensions seem to be running high.
I wish everyone would just take a step back and breathe.
