As for NBA 2k series, I can say that load time differences aren't noticeable between SSD and HDD. The only game I've noticed a difference of more than a couple of seconds is Skyrim.
I'm curious how this game is going to be optimized. In the past, the PC versions were very CPU intensive.
Yeah I am going to keep my games on the SSD no matter how negligible the boost. Faster start-up is enough reason for me to continue using it for my games. 2K15 will take up most of my free remaining space but I don't really need more.
I ran my current laptop's specs on Game Debate and while it is well powerful, the Intel 4000HD graphics are lacking for the game (if anyone can, please inform me as to how lacking they are), so 'm giving thoughts on getting a used machine. Could anyone provide feedback on these specs which I've copied and pasted from Kijiji:
1.
Intel Core i7 2720QM Quad Core CPU at 2.2GHz (turbo up to 3.3GHz)
Nvidia GeForce GT 555m with 3GB of dedicated video memory
8GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM
750GB HDD
I don't think you'll be able to get by with the min requirements, you might want to upgrade but it looks like you're using a laptop which in most cases can't have any major upgrades performed on them.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M is slightly better than AMD RADEON HD 6770. NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M has the same performance as ATI RADEON HD 5850. Computers with ATI RADEON HD 5850 cost at least x2 more than the once with NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M. I recommend that you buy a computer with NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M, mainly because it is better than AMD RADEON HD 6770, and cheaper than ATI RADEON HD 5850. You should be fine for about medium settings. I have a Zotac 560ti I used to use running in my son's PC. It tends to lag when you get the detail too fine. Of course that was with 2k13 and 14, so I can't really be sure how the new engine is going to tax things. If anything, that's going to be your bottleneck. The rest should be up to scratch.
Thanks for the feedback. I don't own he machines I asked about, but because I am thinking of buying something used, I'm posting here before I commit. Therefore, I'm not gonna buy the machines I listed, I don't want to buy something that may only work for 2K15 before being obsolete in a year.
Hate to add to the questions, but I've been out of the loop for a couple years on the nba 2k series. Does anyone know if this would run the new game coming out. It's a laptop but I plug it into my TV when I use it to play. TIA.
Intel Core i5 3210M 2.5 GHz (3 MB Cache)
6 GB SDRAM
750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M
Windows 8

You should be able to run it, maybe not maxed out but at least at decent settings.
