EA Sports has released more Madden NFL 16 ratings. Below are the top safeties in Madden NFL 16, more ratings on these players can be seen here.

E. Weddle (96 OVR)
E. Thomas (95 OVR)
Kam Chancellor (94 OVR)
D. McCourty (94 OVR)
H. Smith (93 OVR)

List seems good to me. I was interested to see how'd Earl Thomas would be rated as a tackler after watching a lot of games last year and noticing that he really isn't a good tackler at all but it seems like the way they stacked him up with Chancellor I think looks good.

I wonder what ratings will be released over the next couple days. There's still 10 reveals left according to the "ratings hub" and eight of those are reserved for each division I'm assuming. I figured they'd separate FS and SS but that's not the case so I doubt they'll separate K/P which will be next. Maybe the other one will just be the entire spreadsheet with all teams or something.

Can't complain with this at all. Also I think Weddle is underrated irk. He is never really talked about in top safety discussions. It's always the 2 Seahawks and McCourty. But I would rank him ahead of McCourty. And I am Pats fan.

I'd take Earl Thomas over any other DB for sure, and I definitely don't doubt his tackling ability.

Accurate list with the exception of Weddle being #1. Top 5 yeah, but not #1. Also, after reading their response on twitter about Haden not being a top 5 CB because Sean Smith had a better season, then Harrison needs to be above Thomas because he had a better season. They have a serious problem with consistency in their ratings.

I think its mostly because he plays on the Chargers and not on a contender. Same with Phillip Rivers, he is one of the better QB's in the game but often gets left out of the conversation.
