2nd Round Preview
#1 Spurs vs #5 Thunder
San Antonio is a team built around two 1st team all NBA players. They are the 2nd ranked in both regular season and postseason in defense. Rozier came over midseason and he is the #1 option on offense scoring 18 in the 1st round. The C's are just ok in Harrell / Poeltl and they split time. They shoot just 33% from 3 first round and need their 4's to shoot well.
The injury to Lillard complicates things as now Rozier can guard him instead. This leaves Murray to guard SGA and Ben Simmons on Bias. Neither team is good at shooting the 3. Someone needs to step up and score for OKC with Lillard hurt as SGA and Bias have tough matchups. The C matchup is a wash with neither of the 4 being game changers.
Prediciton OKC has to find a way to win some games early and this go 7. I think the defense of SA wins it in 5 games.

#2 Mavs vs #6 Trailblazers
This is going to be a heck of a series with the 2 stars for Dallas vs the youth and depth of Portland. Luka won the MVP and didn't drop off in the 1st round averaging 23-11-10. He finally has a star beside him in Kawhi who went for 25-8-6 last round. They have 2 quality old vets at C in Jonas and Stpehen Adams. Early Harvey is a key player as a G off the bench that can score averaging 16 per game. They have some decent depth at the back end of the rotation at G in Lonnie Walker, Forbes and John Wall. The problem from the is F's outside of Kawhi. Can the two stars outshine the depth of Portland ?
Portland rolled through the higher seed in the first round and I would want no part playing them. Larry Bird lead the league in scoring this postseason with 27 per game and had 8 rebounds and 6 assist. The 3 G's trio they have is the best in the league arguable and all have different roles. Sabonis saw his stats drop in the regular season, but was way up last round. He had 15 and 12 up from 8 and 10. They can shoot the 3 leading in 3% and Marcus Morris coming off the bench helps. He shoot 64% from 3 in those 4 games and Murray wasn't far behind.
Prediciton I want to pick Portland they are hot, I'll go with the two stars and say Dallas in 7

#8 Pacers vs #5 Nets
Indiana gets a pretty good matchup a easier team then they just beat. While Brooklyn is the defending champs they lack depth and Joe Harris being hurt is big. Harden has been doing his part 26 per game after making all nba this year. Durant seems to be showing his age some still he scored 20. Tyus Jones is as steady as they come at PG. His A+ defense with 9 assist per game makes him the perfect PG on this roster. A big issue for the team is depth and they will need defense to help them which has been elite for the last 2 years.
When Sabonis plays like he did last series (22-15-6) I'm not sure anyone can beat this team. He would be the best C that's still alive in the playoffs. Fox averaged 20, but will get a tougher matchup however Kemba can't guard him in the 2nd unit. They are good well balanced team with size, shooting, scoring and defense. The loss of T.J will hurt, but Drazen seems ready for more minutes after shooting 42% from 3 this regular season. Nate Mcmillan a 3&D guy will join the rotation. I'm not sure Brooklyn can win without KD being great and Isaac will start and guard a defensive specialist.
Prediciton Indiana in 6 they have more talent
Pacers Starters
PG - Fox 87
SG - Brogdon 83
SF - Chuck Person 80
PF - Jonathon Isaac 81
C - Sabonis 86
2 Key Bench Players - Durate 80 - Drazen 77
Nets Starters
PG - Tyus Jones 76
SG - Harden 91
SF - Bruce Brown 76
PF - Durant 93
C - Richaun Holmes 81
2 Key Bench Players - Nerlens Noel 78 - Kemba Walker 77
ediotrs note - I didn't rig the postseason just got lucky and all the teams I wanted to win did. I did jump into a few OKC and IND games late in the 4th. I plan on doing that next round as well
