Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Has anybody here ever had thoughts as to what kind of attibutes would go into a slashing player who can drive and take his man 1 on 1 and get to the rim?

I do coach mode so I'm trying to see what I would be looking for in attributes if anyone knows?

I would guess layup, dunk, quickness, ball handling, and possibly shot/shoot in traffic. And probably speed as well.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Getting back into it, againnnnn! I am going to start updating my Legacy Blog again for Providence. I am curious to see what the nation looks like now that I am in 2016-17 and haven't looked at the progression of certain programs.

How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Haven't played in a while, since about January. Popped the game in today to take a look at my career legacy. Going into the 26-27 season, I've had 5 straight final four appearances and 4 titles with Texas (after a rough 2 seasons, got my recruits in and things went very well).

I did also win a national title with North Texas and I have a save file from the season before I left. I may rehash that and try to build North Texas into a Gonzaga like mid-major

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started my legacy with Winston Salem St. A new team in D-1.

Year 1- we went 22-10 (14-4) winning the MEAC in my first year, both regular season and the tournament. We were a 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament and lost, badly, to 3 seed UConn. Washington won it all

Recruiting was bleh. I had a 3 Star SF at 100% from right after the early signing period and he ended going to a team that jumped in late. I ended up signing three 2 star guys, none of which are good enough to contribute year 1.

My charisma is an A- so I'm hoping to get a few 3 stars this year.

So far in Year 2 we're 2-0. Beating Jacksonville 71-49 at home in the opener then upsetting Wisconsin on the road 76-61 in playing a virtually perfect game. We jumped out 21-7 early and just held on the whole way.

I play on All Conference and dispite my distaste for zone D, we play a 3-2, switching to that mid season last year really turned it around, we were 12-8 in man to man, and finished 10-2 with zone.

My goal is to get the Duke job at some point. I'd leave this team though for Davidson, Charlotte or Winthrop

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I strongly suggest to target juco prospects in the first year or two. Your coach is going to be dramatically improving the first couple seasons and your recruits will too. So if you sign some 2* seniors they are going to end up rotting away on your bench their whole career. However if you get on juco guys early you can definitely bring in 3* and MAYBE even a 4* recruit first season. These guys will come in as sophomores or juniors also, so you'll be able to cycle through quicker and bring in better players as your coach gets better.

Its also very much helpful to have as many upper classmen as possible in your 5 and rotation, and this can help you do that.

JJFurr, I was offered the position at Duke out of nowhere after a few mediocre seasons at Loyola (Ill). Its amazing having that kind of recruiting power. Right now I have the best team I've ever played with in this game. sitting at 21-1 year 2023. Have to win the national title this year. I have everything. I have 4 dominant bigs, 2 seniors and 2 sophomores. I have a fantastic quick distributing point guard, a senior. A junior small forward do-it-all man. He'll have a much larger role next season if he stays. A freshman phenom shooting guard. 91 rated 3point shooter. I just put in 55 with him against NC State. My 6th man is a 6'5 scoring point guard, a great shooter and fast as lightning.

I've already finished my recruiting for this season. I signed the top overall recruit, a point guard, and an all american power forward. Already looking good for the junior class too.

The recruiting pull is amazing. Oh, and I suggest keeping a small roster, not using every scholarship available. This will give recruits' interest in your school a boost.

I don't know how long I'll stay at Duke because of how easy it is right now. Theres a few other places I'd like to go: Florida State, Illinois, Northwestern, Virginia Tech, maybe some others. I'll be here at least one more season though because I want to have that top recruit. But I'd like to build a program rather than to carry on an established program.

I just started a new career legacy with Howard (saved over my Texas one by accident smh) and I've been using this strategy, as well saving a scholarship or two for transfers. 4 years deep and the three transfers I got are playing a huge role in the turnaround.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

In 2k7 I took a job at West Virginia and the outgoing coach had gotten commits from the #1 recruit in the nation, a 6'7 shooting guard, fantastic shooter and good slasher. This guy I have with Duke is the closest I've come to repeating that. Same height and body type. He was the #3 overall recruit, 91 3-point shooting as a freshman. And when he gets hot he gets hot.

Bringing in the #1 overall recruit next year, a point guard. He'll be the first #1 recruit I've actually recruited, in 2k7 and 2k8. I should probably start my current 6th man next season as a senior, but he's a combo guard and a prototypical 6th man, I might start the freshman.
