I used to do a rather large one, but I got lazy over time and now only really have my conference realignments and a simple scholarship grid with my players, numbers, position, their yr in school, and what I will train them on...and I have them in columns based on when they graduate and how many scholarships I will have open per year.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Learned the lesson to not take a big or mid major job too soon. Built up Howard and with my original recruiting class on the way out, I decided to makes jump to Loyola Marymount and try to build them up in the WCC. By what a mistake that was lol. 18 wins in two seasons and I got the axe before I was able to get my players in. No teams offered me and my career was done. First time I ever had this happen.

Started a new career legacy with UC Riverside and I will be there a while before jumping ship.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I started an open legacy with Chicago State because I wanted a coach with a 0-0 record, but didn't want to use the career legacy teams. Plus, I can make my opponents wear alternate uniforms. 6-10 so far and I just upset Alabama on the road in by far our biggest win.

I have 5 scholarships to offer, but getting good players interested is tough. The good news is Chicago is loaded with talent so I'm trying to find guys without offers that want to stay close to home. I barely lost out on a 3-star SF to Evansville, but I offered a 3-star PG from Michigan that could be a steal if I can land him. I offered a couple 2-star centers that could develop into a fearsome duo down the road.

This happened to me, after like 12 years of bouncing around small schools to mid-major schools I got offered a spot at Gonzaga. I inhereted a horrible roster and couldn't recruit anyone to come. I only had 13 wins in two years and I got fired. Luckily though I got offered a spot at Eastern Washington where a 94 overall PG named something Wallace from Alabama transfered over after he was only playing like 5 mins a game there. The year he couldn't play I recruited a 78 ovr PF and a 75 ovr SF and we rode the PGs back all the way to March Madness and we entered as a 14th seed. We rode Wallace's back as he averaged 33 ppg in the tournament and in the championship game he scored 52 of our teams 74 and hit the game winning layup with 5.6 seconds left. Honestly to this day this was my favorite accomplishment on any sports game.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Hey guys! I'm new to operation sports and this is my first post on here. I love college basketball and I was really getting an itch to play a college basketball video game. I already had NCAA 10 for my Xbox 360, but I just don't like how the game plays. I decided to order College hoops 2k8 from GameStop for $15 and I am loving it. It came in yesterday, and I played one game before starting a legacy. I chose to do a career legacy, and I decided to play with Western Illinois. I'm on all American difficulty with rspencers sliders. Recruiting has been sort of confusing to me, but I just needed some size for the next year. I have 4 scholarships to use. I only have 1 center, and my tallest guy off the bench is 6-7. I am past the signing period now, and I have no commits. I now have a 2 star 6-10 PF who is 100% interested with me. No one else is competing with me for him.(is that bad?) I also have a 2 star 6-7 SF who is a decent shooter. I should get him. I have another 6-6 sf who can shoot well that I might get. I'm looking to get a point guard or tall center with my last scholarship to use. I can't seem to get any 3 stars interested in coming here. I just finished non conference play, and I finished with a 4-4 record in non con. The biggest win for us was playing northern Iowa who is in the mid major top 25. It was a crazy game that went to OT, and my freshman shooting guard dropped 7 threes. The final score was 103-95. That's the only game the whole year I have scored over 75 so far. Any tips for recruiting at a small school? Sorry for the really long post

When it comes to recruiting, JC guys and leaving 1 scholarship for a transfer in the offseason have helped me. My best player at northeastern is a transfer from Cincinnati (having him sit out a year right now is killing me lol). And it was the same when I was at Long Beach St, transfers and JC guys helped me turn the team into a conference winner quick.

Welcome to OS!!

It's March so I'm playing this game again.

Went 16-14 in the first season but won the conference tournament.
Went 25-6 in the 2nd season and won the conference tournament but got knocked out in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament both times.

I took the UALR (Little Rock) job, and signed 2 5* JUCO guys late. Team is pretty good, and off to a 5-1 start.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just getting back into this game now that my Gamecocks are onto the Sweet 16! Started a legacy with the Wagner Seahawks. Currently 3-4 to start the year. Got some Ivy League matchups with Yale and Harvard, and I just beat Dartmouth. Having a good amount of fun with the game!
