Congrats! What games are you getting?

I posted earlier in the thread that my gaming is lessening as I gear up to start a family. I can't help but wonder if disdain for some sports games are also the cause.

In looking at ehh's situation though, it seems like exclusivity is getting him down. I know I have had similar thoughts when I play a game and just don't see what others are talking about. I used to have a lot of fun tinkering with Sliders to get a game to play well... and I just don't have that fun anymore. I honestly think it's because of the quality of the games we're getting.

I've stopped buying some games out of routine and I think I'll continue to lessen my purchases. I know time is a factor and I've felt similar to ehh, but taking a step back and looking at the big picture leads me to point at the actual games and the scope of gaming today rather than myself...

Congrats on the Wii. I would certainly pick up Super Paper Mario if I were you. It's simply a blast. I've always had an issue with Nintendo's generational rehash of Mario, Zelda, Metroid and so forth but this is certainly a game not to be missed, IMO.

Yeah, that's pretty much me. I've got games that I force myself to play, and I'm stopping that. I bought Condemned 2 yesterday and I didn't even open it, considering just taking it back, loved the first one, but I bought the 2nd one only because of the first one.

Between The Show, a few 360 games (Army of Two, Frontlines, The Club) and Super Smash Brothers, I can be pretty set for a long time on gaming.

Condemned 2 came out? Wow I didn't even know.

I've been somewhat interested in Ao2, but with R6:V2 coming out soon (unsure if I'll get it... still haven't really gone through CoD4) and GTA4... THEN MGS4... and The Show right now... I think I'll be set.

I'm still trying to find time to get through The Orange Box.

As Pared said, part of it is the exclusivity deals going on in sports and part of it is that I lost interest in non-sport games. I used to love games like Doom, Wolfenstein, etc on the PC back in the day and even games like Bond on 64, Syphon Filter on PSOne, etc were all classics to me.

I played Halo a lot in college but none of my friends from home (I'm blessed to still have 9 great friends from HS I see regularly) are into it. Besides that I don't know why I don't care for those games, maybe killing everything in site got old for me, hehe. It's probably that they're too complicated or need to much time/attention.

Oh well, my Wii and three games should arrive Monday or Tuesday. I put all my games up individually on eBay and now I just have to put the console up there. Does anyone know how to tell how big your HD is? I think I bought the 30gig but I don't remember, I obviously want to be accurate when posting it on eBay.

If you have the white 360, it's a 20 GB, if you have the black one it's a 120 GB.

Three great games IMO. Your girlfriend will be addicted to Carnival Games.
