I shouldn't need to compensate for my AI when the CPU players can player just fine without the user.

Again I do a goal kick and the CPU is there fighting for the ball, CPU does a goal kick none of my players are around fight to win possession. Just letting the CPU get 1st touch.

So what's your option? Don't follow the advice he gave you and continue to not enjoy the game? Every game requires user tweaking on some level. Me, I don't have the problem you're describing because I fix it with slider adjustments. Again, you need to utilize the in-game settings and tools provided in order to adjust and improve the gameplay.

Re: FIFA 14 Impressions

I still can't believe that pace is all that matters in this POS game. So much for defending the ball.
I never really bought into the handicap on UT, but of course I never had a really good team. This time around I have a pretty solid team, (Isco, Ramos, Neymar, Reus) and I can't win an online game to save my life. I'm not losing by 1 or 2 goals, I'm getting beat 0 to 5+.
The only game in was winning 3 to 0,the guy scored two goals in the 45th minute and went on to score another 5 in the second half. My defenders just stood there and watched his attackers go through every time. He had a very pacey front line and a dead slow back line, but still, Terry and Puyol can keep up with Reus and Neymar without a problem.

I'm seriously thinking of selling my whole team and just make a good silver team, gold teams are apparently overrated and useless.

Set user line height and line length sliders to 0, then sit back and watch your cpu-controlled teammates defend defend defend 'til the cows come home. You are welcome!

Not sure that's possible online.

I actually feel as if strength is much more effective compared to previous years.

That was Ea's big push. Not allabout pace, fend off defenders. But pace is still king, except against slow defenders. Ended up selling Neymar and Reus for Guardado and Gomez.

Re: FIFA 14 Impressions

These opinions are based off of Online game play

Pros

1. Love the online modes. Co-op mode is great

2. Midfield play is a lot more fun.

3. Great animations

Cons

1.Crossing is way too easy. You can call it a bug.

2. The switching sucks no matter which settings are used. It's a shame how easy crossing and heading is.

3. Game has frozena few times.

Overall the game is an improvement over 13. The crossing and heading system stop it from being great.
