Seems like they got rid of the licensed goal songs. No Kernkraft 400, Party Hard, or Chelsea Dagger. Money must have went to the menu music. We need custom soundtracks back

Can anyone speak to sim speed in franchise? Is it still painfully slow?

It's ridiculous they don't have this yet. MLB The Show figured it out years ago.

It adds so much to the game in my opinion

They stated (for the Xbox One at least) that the console didn't have ability for it. Xbox has now had a music player since 2014

Played a few games online and it felt really sloppy.

Lot of penalties. very sensitive. even a little touch and it's a penalty call.

Did not like the new UI. Seemed too dark.

Felt like an unfinished product. Went back to play 18.

Won't get the game at launch now. Will wait till they patch fix everything up and get it when the game is on sale.

I wouldn't freak out about the goal songs quite yet. Its not unusual for them not to be all present before the official release.

Regarding the gameplay, color me extremely optimistic about this year's game.

Many small improvements combined with the other larger changes have tightened and have probably optimized the potential with this engine on this hardware.

The skating and its effects on gameplay are substantial when added to the cold hard fact that you no longer can spam the poke check button. This allows for a more formidable cpu opponent especially when combined with their improved killer instinct during scoring opportunities.

Thankfully the heightened sensitivity to tripping calls makes you rely on defensive positioning and the new and much improved hitting system. I love that it feels rewarding to use a well timed stick check and it actually scares me when i get sloppy and have to face the CPU on the PP.

Very satisfying.

Team mate AI in the O-zone is way better IMO finding open ice and defensemen on the point are way more reliable.

The CPU no longer wastes time passing back forth in the neutral zone and prefers to push the pace. Much more engaging.

Liking the cellies. No more of that awkward crap after goals.

Im probably forgetting something but whatever...thats all ive got for now

During the rest of my trial I'll be posting highlights and segments of gameplay against the CPU with sim geared sliders, played in a sim fashion, in a thread of its own in the forum so you guys who can't play can see what the game is like against the CPU.

Game play is one thing and the rest? Graphic details, better stats named by Team names including youth stats? New Goalie masks and Jerseys? Roster import or sharing? What's about real player faces? How many of them are new ? Also have seen a spreadsheet from Jack Hughes, number 1 Pic in draft 2019 with Pic in his profile. Can anybody confirm that?
