And then on top of that, the agreement/contract itself is mostly a private matter. So not only is there some things SCEA can't do, but they probably can't even discuss why they can't do it. I'm sure MLB(PA) does not want much of their video game agreement/contract disclosed to the public.

So is there anything they can do with the collision detection on the throws over to first on pickoff attempts?Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
One REALLY annoying thing i hope they address is the broken pitching. Thats one thing 2k will always have over the show, literally that is it. The pitches go all over the zone no matter how you pin point them. Control means nothing alot of the time, i hope they completely repackage the pitching system. And we need new announcers, im tired of Vasgersian and his 6 year old dialogueComment

Would like to see online franchise implemented with a lot of options as far as schedule length for commissioners. I love The Show.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Honestly, I wish they can implement a way for us to use the playstation eye more. Like we could create our batting stance and pitching motion. Also the way we throw the ball to first base and such. They could also use it for home run celebration and cut scenes for our "Road to the show mode" Like if our pitcher gives up a homerun we can edit a movement for it using the playstation eye.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
4 things I'd love to see
A. Create a Stadium
B. One button baserunning
And finally!
C. With the power of the next gen system no more generic faces after the have been traded, should be an automatic update!
D. Get the minor league lisc. So there are no more generic photos period!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I mentioned this before, but I'm looking forward to realistic and dynamic wind patterns at every stadium and ballpark. It should be one of the things addressed in this years game, so I hope we can look forward to something there because that shouldn't be something we have to make slider adjustments about.
edit--
Another thing hoping for is in line with stat keeping. I want to know each individual players history of teams played for, minor league career + organization played and last but not least, All significant injury history or at least all stints on the 60 day DL, date and nature of injury. Shouldn't be too much to ask for, so I hope we get it.Last edited by @legendm0de; 09-30-2013, 09:36 PM.Red LegendComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
One of my annoyances is the defensive positioning. Make it that you can edit for each player ONCE and then never have to do it again unless you specifically dont want to use that shift or positioning in certain postitions.
for example I like doing the positioning, Ill spent twenty minutes doing it for every player and then the next game i have to do it all over.
Also, updated standings in fenwayHate seeing my Rays bottom every single year

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I would say that more than 3/4 of the MLB teams disagree with you and have one pitcher as the designated CP.
To eliminate it in the game makes zero sense...when you can simply do what you do if you like...and that's make all CP-RP's. That seems pretty easy to me and doesn't take something out of the game that some believe is correct.
....and if you've got it working 100% correct(what does that mean?) in the game....why would they have to rewrite the logic?
You lost me.

He's right that it's not a "position" by itself. It's more like the leadoff role or the cleanup role. When a team loses its cleanup or leadoff hitter, they just slide someone else into that role. They don't feel like they have to call up their AAA leadoff hitter or cleanup hitter.
It's more of a designation or a role than an actual position. When a team's closer leaves in free agency or gets traded, he's almost always replaced by another reliever from their major league roster.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I actually agree the closer role could use some work in the game's coded logic.

They might trade for another "CP"....but the game will take the next "best" reliever and put him in the CP role. It doesn't change him into a CP.
...it will especially do this if you simply remove the CP tag from the closers and make them all RP's.
So what he is asking for...is already currently in the game.
What he is asking is that they remove the CP "role"(which is all it really is in the editor) from the game, which in the long run, will give the end users no way to "force" a team to use a certain pitcher in the CP role putting you at the mercy of the CPU manager or to use 30 team control and keep putting the player back into the CP spot every time a move is made and the staff gets shuffled(unless you handle everything).
So what I'm getting is...you guys wouldn't mind removing a viable option in the game?
