Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Taveras has a much higher floor than Baez, but Baez has generational bat speed and instincts. If he can refine his approach at AAA (under the tutelage of Manny Ramirez, lol), he can be the most destructive middle infielder on offense since pre-roid A-Rod.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I'm not saying Taveras for Baez straight up is fair, but I am just saying that nickel and diming the Cubs for their Top prospect is not going to work. Why accept 3 pennies for one nickel?

Im sorry, I forgot, you're the only one here allowed to have an opinion. Never did I say that Taveras was impervious to busting, all players are. I don't have time to pour over tons of data on a website which you condescendingly linked in a post to me, remember that? I can only go off what I read and hear, from qualified professionals. Please, list your credentials that makes you the authority on all things baseball, did you hold a scouting position with a MLB club? Perhaps you were GM for a major league club? Im referring to real life, not a video game in case you are unable or unwilling to read between the lines.#HellaBandz

Jesus. I wasn't aware posting links was condescending. I don't understand how it can be fun to come into the thread, be rude and dismissive, build strawmans the point things are blown out of proportion, and then ignore the majority of what I say.
You do you, bruh.

I try and stand up for my opinion, and I get:

I don't disagree with.. well, anyone in this thread. Just ask WTNY. But when have I EVER tried to deny someone the right to an opinion? Arguing isn't saying that you can't have an opinion. I use stats and data to back up what I see and I try and make my thought process clear in order to have civil discussions and I get "you're condescending and have no credentials and you're trying to be the de-facto expert of this board," along with being accused of partiality, having my thoughts dismissed and so on.
So yeah, I wouldn't really say I deny anyone the right to an opinion."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ugh was frustration that we have entirely different thought processes. I then laid out my entire train of thought to you in an attempt to have a civil debate, and was responded to with:
You don't even read my link and completely dismiss my entire train of thought. I then bring up a legitimate trade proposal, and I get:

If anyone seems unable to have an opinion, it seems like me.

I read your link, to fantistics I believe it was, I use the same data as I am DFS baseball player and having that data is immeasurable, Im not sure if you are a subscriber or not, but I am, so I am familiar with all the metrics. Point is, you think Morrow has upside, I don't. I read the article and apologize if you think I dismissed you. Agree to disagree.
Not sure what else to say, If I've offended you, I apologize.#HellaBandz

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Didn't really mean to start any debates with the question... the realism side of my brain took over and I'm not pursuing Baez anymore.
But I have another, although tons more realistic question. I am looking for a reliever and I am a week away from the deadline. I was wondering what a fair trade for Bastardo, Strop, or Sergio Santos would be. All of the teams for the players I mentioned are way out of the race. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The eye rollin emoji was to the comment about "scouting by what you hear generally isn't effective". Not to the trade, hell, the offer was better than anything I could muster up. Believe it or not I value your opinion when I get the all the perceived arrogance out of the way, just or not.
