Has anything changed in terms of timing/efficiency of pre-loading a stolen base attempt?

Last year the mechanic felt off to me, resulting in my players breaking towards 2B and getting picked off, or the pre-loading simply didn't work and my player wouldn't break towards 2B.

If that was occurring you were not doing it correctly. To cue a steal the L2 press needs to be quick when you get the first rumble and let go. If you hold too long it cues up a manual steal and the runner takes off as soon as you let go of L2.

Is there a new Pitching Ball Marker? In the stream it appeared to have a new marker where you aim for the final location of the pitch instead of the break point. Is this the new way to aim or is it just something for the devs to test the game?

Yes..but I was talking in general. If you scouted each of the major league umpires in real life, you would know what each umps tendencies are. This means that in most games and most of the time, the ump will have a specific strike zone. Will the ump occasionally be inconsistent with that strike zone? Yes. But in The Show the umps are inconsistent with each umps defined strike zone every game. Perhaps the ump personalities is also a placebo effect? SCEA I hope improves this and also puts out a scouting report for each ump. I recall in years past Rex used to talk about some of the umps tendencies.

That is the new pitch break marker. The old markers are still in the game too. The new marker method adds an additional level of difficulty, but not an excessive amount IMO.

What makes it more difficult? Seems to me like it'd be easier to spot your pitches...

I guess the umps in the show are all angel hernandez. That guy's never consistent with his strike zone.

Agreed. Placing curves and sinkers and such was kinda difficult before because I had to guess how far it would sink. Seems like knowing the end point just makes it easier.

You still have to throw it perfect for it to go where you want it to.

Yeah, I should have elaborated a little more. There were other factors, that made it slightly more difficult IMO. First, I was pitching on Legend (so it was harder to pinpoint pitches, at least for my old man reflexes :o), and I had varying results depending on the stadium's BTP camera. Like I said, it wasn't a huge difference, and I think it's a cool new feature. I also had it set to fade after a few seconds, which is an option.
