Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
So I've been looking, rather unsuccessfully, for a worthwhile trade destination for Beltre and I'm kind of coming up empty here. There was supposedly a market last year and over this past off-season. If it isn't the Yankees, I can't really find a solid place for him. Boston is somewhere I would have considered if not for them calling up Devers and confidence is understandably high on him being the every day guy there now. The Angels I could potentially see being a fit but I'm not sure. I'm also not high on their farm and sending him to the Angels might actually make me vomit. It doesn't make sense to deal him to anyone that isn't contending.
Any ideas?Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
They have Frazier. It hurt the 3rd base market when SSs like cozart moved to third. What about the twins? They could move sano to DH. You could get Romero, Gonsalves or nick Gordon for beltre.Last edited by Yankees247; 03-31-2018, 09:04 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
St. Louis was another team I was thinking about. I'm just not sure how they feel about Gyorko. Beltre is definitely a step up but Gyorko is coming off a pretty solid season I think.Comment

I thought about the Mets but do they move from Frazier?
Didn't really think about the Twins. That would be contention necessary though wouldn't it? They would have to be set on making a run this year if they're going to add a 38 yr old 3B.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
MIN: 3B Adrian Beltre | SP Ricardo Rodriguez
TEX: SS Nick Gordon | SP Lewis Thorpe | SP Kohl Stewart
Questions around all three of Thorpe, Stewart and Rodriguez. Thorpe probably the most promising of the three at this point.Comment

I was looking at their farm as you responded. How would this be?

Or you could keep current deal and add another older player that will help the twins playoff pushComment

I’m glad you found a trade that works and you get a player that will help your rebuild and a player you will like playing with.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
In my White Sox franchise i'm looking at 3 things:
Moving Nate Jones to Houston
Acquiring Kyle Barraclough from Miami
Moving James Shields.
What players am i looking at having to give up to Miami? And what from Houston's farm could i acquire, i really like Cionel Perez and Jonathan Arauz from them, but i dont know if that is too much for asking.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
I'd say that's a little much for a 38 year old 3B and a guy with no MLB success, maybe drop Kohl and add one of their 25-30 prospects. I usually put a little more emphasis on established mlb players.

I like the deal. Final piece will be finding a home for Odor which is going to prove difficult given he has a such low surplus. Could possibly pick up a fringe prospect or two from a team like the Indians.Comment

Barracrough is worth 30 million surplus so if you give
Sheets and adolfo.
Shields has a -30 million surplus so you would need to add in a prospect like a fulmer or dunning just to break even.Comment
