I've been a bit thick so hadn't noticed until now, but isn't 11am on a Thursday (on Valentines day as well) an incredibly strange time to do a livestream? Can't imagine they'll get that many people watching, unless it's only college kids and the unemployed that they are aiming it at?

It's at 7pm over here so I'll probably be out at dinner and will watch it later.(no wifey I can't take you out on Valentines day, Ramone is going to tell me about the new fielding. Divorce? Why?)

I guess that's one way to cut down on the abuse they get in the chat, but defeats the point of a livestream a bit to put it on at a time when the vast majority of people can't watch it?

They are doing two streams that day, one at 11am (2pm EST) and the other at 3pm PST (6pm EST), which is there normal time. If you can't watch it live, just watch later. It's what I do because life gets in the way to watch it live at 6pm my time.

When you are married 20 years plus......Valentines Day goes something like this:


"Babe they want 7 bucks for a card and 30 bucks for a dozen roses when normally it costs 12-15 bucks, the restaurants are packed....what do you want to do?”


“I won’t buy a $7 card if you don’t and get me roses the day after and we can eat home and go out to dinner this weekend instead”.

I know your right. I can almost guarantee its Contract Extensions only, that is why franchise got a small amount of time as part of another stream. It is what it is. Amazing graphics but its silly that as the years pass realism goes away. Why can All Star Baseball a game made 15 years ago have expansion, stadium builds, rotating interleague schedules yet a game on a much more advance system cannot do this. It is beyond me. To much on line play. Im sorry if I pay 60 dollars for a game I'm not going to keep paying for things like Diamond Dynasty. But that's just me

I remember playing All Star Baseball 2000 and 2001 on my N64, but it didn't have all the features of the 2004 version.

I also played and absolutely LOVED MVP Baseball 2004 and 2005, played those to death on my terrible Compaq PC back in the day.

I still love MLBTS, I played 18 so dang much. Hoping for some nice additions (maybe some surprises) over the next month and a half. Interested to hear more about these two supposed 'new' modes... and I'm definitely excited to hear way more about the defensive logic revamp as was briefly mentioned in the gameplay trailer rewind! These improvements to defense could be big for online play and just gravy for offline play.

Free agency is completely broken. To start, no elite players ever reach UFA. There’s also an issue where good UFAs go unsigned because the CPU doesn’t handle its cap correctly.

I wonder if this is like a season mode or something. BUT the little blurb about Franchise mode improvements: contracts extensions. Great addition but i hope that is not ALL they did with franchise?

There is not even a twich stream for franchise mode this year unless im missing something? thats the only mode i play so its disappointing if true.

I am looking forward to hearing about Moments mode on the 28th. I don't play franchise at all (I know that statement is sacrilege around here) and am looking for new offline modes to keep me interested.

I was not a fan of last years RTTS changes and they appear to double down on them this year (I really don't need weightlifting mini games) so RTTS is probably out for me. DD offline is repetitive and lacks much value beyond grinding meaningless games for stats.

So I am interested in Moments and March To October information.

I wonder if Moments will be kinda like the Showcase mode from WWE games? Where you kinda relive great moments throughout a players history. The WWE games have really well produced videos to set up each moment too.

I was thinking something similar, with the Willie Mays catch in the trailer being a prime example. Almost cutscene like replaying of moments, with stuff like his hat falling off. Would be a bit tough though as they don't have half the players required to do that for the older moments, but I guess they could fudge it and have any old rando throwing the pitches, hitting the ball, being the other fielders etc.

Kind of hope it isn't that though, I was hoping it linked to another mode as just doing a bunch of one of scenario's sounds a bit dull and gimmicky, it doesn't obviously have a lot of replay value. I was hoping it would be incorporated into DD, for those single game missions for legends, but the screenshot of the menu screen shows it as it's own mode, so it probably isn't.
