Not a rumor. A few people that played the BETA have confirmed there is a New PA announcer and he has been heard in the streams.

Ooh, I actually haven't particularly raised the volume and listened in the streams. Care to point to any specific videos or time stamps? It's one presentation improvement I've been asking for, for ages!

EDIT: Well, I slightly heard him in the Jose Bautista bat flip home run clip. Proof that he's different, at least!

Not sure what to think about tomorrow - Gamestop Monday could have something about March to October but it's also possible they could do some kind of unboxing thing like last year. And there's always a possibility of something being released from IGN, Gamespot or GT during the week.

We'll know by Thursday for sure though.

I wonder if Contract Extensions is really the only new feature added to franchise this year. While it is disappointing, Contract Extensions does more for me than the streamlining "features" added in the last few years. I'm still holding out hope that there are some nice quality of life changes not big enough to put on a livestream schedule.

I think the biggest reveal for me thus far has been the notification system, automatic redemption for stuff, and getting rid of the souvenirs and immortals. I was very impressed with what I saw for this years DD

While its a slightly better thing to have than phases from last year IMO its such a little I'm surprised it was a bullet point. Its either A) the only addition or B) a smokescreen to hide pleasant surprises. I'm leaning A but hoping B.

Would be nice, but we’ve been down this road before and we know what the answer is. If it’s a bullet point and they don’t list anything else, we can pretty much bank on it being the only addition with any substance.

Besides, didn't Pastapadre post a menu screen that showed modes with "NEW" highlighted, and Franchise was pretty much the only one that wasn't?

Waiting for Thursday to see what they have done with franchise but as always I'll reserve judgement until I get the game. SDS does a great job of promoting the game with all the streams and videos but I never really know how it plays in manage mode/franchise until I play the game.

They'll probably spend a couple minutes showing us that the radio show "still works." That, or they scrapped it altogether in favor of new commentary, who knows.

I, like most of us here, would love to be surprised with some new franchise info Thursday. But I’m always eager to see what new presentation and commentary improvements are added. I think the small addition last year with the full speed replays and different camera angles were a underrated addition that made the game a bit more fresh than years past. Hopefully the commentary got a boost this year...it’s hard not to be repetitive when playing a franchise but hopefully they will continue to add more lines to make it a little more fresh. Looking forward to Thursday’s stream and hopefully we will all be pleasantly surprised with some of the news.

On FB, I see they only have MTO listed on the Twitch stream tonight, I bet Franchise doesnt get talked about.

Even the schedule on the first page of this thread has March To October as the main topic of the stream so that is no surprise.


My guess is that we will know the answer to the Heidi question in the next 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
