this is a very important glitch I hope they fix, ruins the immersion immensely. I had it happen on some big plays too and they just talked like it was a normal play. Sigh.

still the bug when you quick sim and then back out all your guys show as 0-0 and all stats don't count when you resume play. Lost a 2 HR game by Myers.

I wonder with the two "one-off" games from this year's schedule will we see the return of the bug where it is opening day every game unless you sim the first game?

The outfield feels so much bigger this year with all of the new ways the ball seems to find grass. Not regretting the day-one purchase one bit.

I'm currently 2-2 at the top of the 15th in my opener, Sox @ KC. Gonna be a long season....

I play Classic/Directional, using Armor's sliders as a base. All 5's right now though, except for one change - CPU Manager Hook to 6. It's playing pretty good at default, but early to judge, of course.

The only oddity so far is that with 2 out and 2 on, KC intentionally walked Leury Garcia (9th) to load the bases and put Yoan Moncada on the plate. I failed to capitalize.

I’m using Armors sliders with some tweaks as well. Really love what I am seeing so far.

And for what its worth, Moncada did strikeout at a 33% clip last year

Well, it worked.. though flew out this time. The way this game is going, the OSFM rosters should be just about ready by the time it's over...

I'm thinking the default (5) pitch speeds is really the way to go this year...

I know everyone is different, but they just seem more realistic to me at default. Tweak down the hitting sliders to adjust, but when I put the slider at 5 (all-star level hitting & legend pitching are what I use) I really felt like the game became more fun - saw more variety of hits and felt like the bat-on-ball / ball physics on the grass were so much more realistic.

Seems like having speed in the OF is going to be much more important this year. You could probably actually build a winner around speed, defense, and contact this year. Focusing on power bats in the lineup was definitely the way to go last year.

So the bonus for the new Dynamic Camera is the feeling of the vast expanse in the outfield.

And yes, watching Mookie run down stuff in right field versus JD Martinez lumbering around in left field, really shows how a +rated defender will keep runs off the boards. His bat might be a help early on, but you'll need to swap him for a speedy high-rated fielder in late game situations.

It might be as well done this year as they have ever made it.

Between the animations, branch animation upgrade, arm and defensing rating, I can see substitutions actually making a difference this year.

I agree. Only played half a game but Pham booted one in the outfield and misplayed it badly (leading to an inside the park home run!!!). Then there was a loooong shot to centre that was going to bounce off the wall but kiermairer tracked it down and made a catch at the wall which was a stunning play.

I noticed this too. It’s actually the first thing that I noticed. Kinda said that even on balanced it looks like it drops lower than 30 FPS while fielding. Is it me or does the graphics look like it downgrades while playing online?
