I don't think anyone is discounting the fact that you know what to do. It's stated. If they are like me, it's the fact that you berated this guy for simply answering your question with a great post. That you state was rhetorical. Which in fact I feel was not rhetorical either.

Re: MLB 19: First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)
After upping hit power by a lot and lowering fielding speed by 1 click, the game plays wayyyyy better. On default the fielders were getting to the spot where the ball was going to land way before the ball got there and caught everything. Also noticed on default the ball was coming off the bat too slow. Anyway I am happy now.Comment

Really finding my groove both pitching and hitting after putting the pitch speeds back to default. Again, as odd as it sounds, the game is playing more balanced and feels more organic to me.
Now to just win some ballgames..LOLI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

No. Back to impressions please.
I’m enjoying the game and am about to play test-set game five.
Will be back on topic and have some new thoughts post game.

Re: MLB 19: First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)
So after playing about ten games or more. Somewhere around there.
My impressions: The game is just clean and echoing many others. Just feels more refined then any other game of the Show series. To me it just feels right.
There is nothing groundbreaking, but enough improvements to warrant a purchase. It plays a damn good game of baseball.
And is worth the 60. I can get over the glaring lack of improvements in franchise.
But next years game they are gonna have to go all out. Commentary, graphics, player models, camera angles, and FRANCHISE ( ALL caps for a reason) needs a major overhaul.
Still they didn't mail it in this year. The game improved in a number of areas.
8.7/10

meh on this years intro. 17 was great with Scullys ''time for Dodger baseball'' & 18's line about the Grand Canyon. 19 will be like Puigs Show 15. Never a reason to view it again.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB 19: First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)
I'm thinking the default (5) pitch speeds is really the way to go this year...
I know everyone is different, but they just seem more realistic to me at default. Tweak down the hitting sliders to adjust, but when I put the slider at 5 (all-star level hitting & legend pitching are what I use) I really felt like the game became more fun - saw more variety of hits and felt like the bat-on-ball / ball physics on the grass were so much more realistic.

Re: MLB The Show 19 First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)
In game audio is just superb. SOTS has a volume control, not sure if it was in last years version, but I tested some old saved batter walk ups that were not very audible in last years game and they seem to be fine.
I haven’t even gotten in a full game as I’m doing my rosters, but what I have played, a few innings here and there, I can really notice a different feel. Thumbs up.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)
Anyone know why all the Yankees have mostly white spikes? They literally aren't allowed by MLB rules to wear white cleats (I remember Gardner got a warning a few years ago for wearing shoes with too much white).
I thought the equipment was supposed to be accurate?
Anyone know?Comment

I don’t know how accurate they are in game, but the rule was relaxed considerably after last season.
