Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
I know I forgot to mention but I also needed a lead off hitter type to help the top of the order, so I'm just gonna have to pay up for Whit from the sound of it

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
I was looking at Hiraldo, Moreno and Woods-Richardson. Think I would prefer to deal Groshans and Alford though.
I’m also looking at Lindor if the Indians are out of it

Not sure how you could possibly pull off Lindor while keeping PearsonComment

I guess I could include Pearson. What would that deal look like? Might just have to go for Merrifield instead!

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
What do people think of this trade? I'm the Mets and also have Gio Urshela as my starting 3rd basemen.
I'd trade 2B Jeff McNeil (27, B potential, 84) 3B Brett Baty (A potential, 20 years old, overall 65) and SS Shervyen Newton (A potential, 20 years old, overall 64) for 2B Gleyber Torres (23, A potential Overall 90)
I'm not happy w McNeil's production, and I am satisfied with Amed Rosario as a franchise SS. Also already having Urshela locked up at 3rd plus then Torres would solidify my infield making the 2 A potential prospects.. not needed?
Thoughts on this?Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Playing as the Giants and I would like to move Tony Watson and Hunter Pence. Tony Watson is pitching well with a 3.48 ERA and Hunter Pence has also been playing well coming off the bench .265/.319/.529 9Hr 29rbi.
I was thinking about Angels (51-45) as a landing spot. Their pen is in serious need of help and Hunter Pence can help their outfield and their under performing bench.
I’m not expecting much of a return but I would like this move to be realistic.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to trade for Benintendi in my Seattle rebuild (really, I’m just looking for a solid defensive LF w/ some pop).
I was able to get Royce Lewis for Dom Thompson-Williams.
Also, looking for a 3B for the long run. I was thinking Ke’ Bryan Hayes but I’m open to suggestions.
P.S- Sheldon Neuse was REALLY solid in my Blue Jays rebuild.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Gleyber is the most untouchable guy in the Yanks organization, likely even moreso than Judge. If you are looking for realism it is HIGHLY unlikely they would be trading him for anyone. Nevermind the fact that it would be to the Mets? Mets and Yanks historically don’t deal with each other at all because of the huge risk of a lopsided trade between teams that compete in the same market.
Already in my franchise have made like 4 trades with the Yankees. For some reason, they seem the most amenable to trades out of everyone in the league.
I'm doing it!Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
I'll tell you this in the nicest way possible, this thread is for people who are looking for realistic equal trades, we dont care what the game accepts. It is your franchise do as you please, but even in the trade value simulator, the Yankees are getting back 80 in value and the Mets are getting 120. It's not even close to fair or realisticComment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Others can chip in if they disagree, but I think Pearson and one lower level prospect should get it done. Pearson is near MLB and has all of his service time so he covers the vast majority of the value. The question you need to ask yourself is whether its worth it long term for the Jays when the left side of their IF is already quite strong.Comment

“ If Pearson shows he can handle a starter's workload, he can be a frontline arm with potential to be a No. 1 or 2 starter. He's probably headed back to Triple-A to begin 2020, but he's one of the Blue Jays' five best starting pitchers right now and should be in Toronto by midseason.”

If I’m the Jays that guy is untouchable. IMO he’s the key to them competing in that very tough division.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
I agree that Pearson gets it done as the centerpiece for Lindor but I also question why the Jays would be willing to part with him. They have a super young and super controllable infield and Bo Bichette looks like a future star at short. Pearson is by far their best pitching prospect and the closest to the majors.
