Is there a realistic trade to get Brian Anderson on the Rays? Yandy just isnt cutting it and I'm trying to bolster defense at 3rd

Its possible but you're going to have to pay up. People don't seem to realize it, but Brian Anderson is very valuable. You will get to keep Wander, but honestly the Marlins would be reasonable to ask for McKay and/or Brujan as the headliner.

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread

Alright so I’m back with a pretty simple trade that I’ve ran the numbers on and just want to hear some feedback!
Currently about midway through June, 9 games up in the NL East with ATL. My team has been pretty solid thus far, but I’m looking to add another bullpen arm.

I’m not trying to break the bank but still want a guy that I think can contribute.

At the moment I have Kyle Crick in mind. RP from Pittsburgh. He’s a 27 YO, 71 OVR, and B POT. He has H/9 and K/9 in the 80’s, but his other attributes are a down which rounds him to a 71.

So far he’s pitched in only 7.2 Innings for the Pirates while sitting at a 4.70 ERA. His value is sitting at just $2.84M and the Pirates aren’t necessarily using him.

I’m thinking about trading them 23 YO OF Greyson Jenista. He’s not a top 100 prospect so it’s hard to put a value on him. This is where I used Baseball Trade Values which has Crick at a 1.5ish and Jenista at a 2.1.

I think this trade is pretty fair considering the pirates are in no way contending and they get more value back in a young OF with C potential. Relief pitchers seem like the best trade pieces for rebuilding teams because they’re not as valuable to a team losing games.
I’m fine with sending Jenista away as I already have younger, more talented guys in Pache and Waters.

It seems fair to me. Similar to the Kolarek/Hulsizer trade last deadline.

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread

Still looking to make an addition in my Blue Jays franchise. I can’t seem to make it match with the Cubs for Almora.

Tim Locastro is appealing with his 99 speed. I’m not familiar with the Diamondbacks need or of Locastro’s. Would Patrick Murphy and a lotto ticket get it done? I could make it bigger and give a better player for Locastro + another contact they would like to trade or RP?

            Any help would be appreciated.

I’m aware of the baseball trade value website, but that appears only relevant to 2020 real life players. Does anyone have a tool they use for trades after years two, or with a fictional roster? Something that takes variables into consideration like:

              Age
              Potential rating
              Overall rating
              Position
              Contract

We had this exact conversation a couple of pages back, I offered Xavier Edwards A potential and B potential Fairbanks and C potential Brosseau.

Seemed light according to some on here. Although in my game Edwards was better than Brujan.

You're right because I'm pretty sure I'm the one that was going back and forth with you. Good catch

Realistic deal for selling Syndergaard if I'm the Mets? I was looking at SD possibly.

My team is good but due to other moves probably can't afford to resign him in the offseason and the TDL is coming up

Alright I've figured out the website trade thing and thankfully got O'Neill playing better. Mikolas is my worst starting pitcher by far with a war of .3 110 games into the season.

The athletics looked like a good fit with a swap for him and Pomeranz. Pomeranz value wasn't listed though. What would be a good add from me to make this a good deal for them?

so I DFAd Pat Valaika, needed to add some pitching to the 40 man. Question is if a cpu team is interested will they make me an offer within the 10 day time period I have.

Are you only looking to trade him to SD or are you open to a contender that needs SP? Is he hurt in your franchise and if not what are his stats? What contending teams need SP in your franchise?

So it's complicated. I'm actually contending (hold the 2nd WC now). The problem is I have Kluber tied up, Stroman, Grandal, Cano etc and don't have much space to spend. I can probably make it work but it'll be tight. On the other hand, I need to infuse my line up with another bat. Preferably one under control

He was good in 2020, we won the WS and he went 16-8 with a mid 3's ERA, a solid #3 behind Kluber. He's been pretty much exactly the same in 21. I'm thinking though if I can get a young hitter and pitcher, it may be worth it

Cubs are the main contender that need a SP. I was looking at SD (who are struggling mightly) that they would acquire him and sign him to an extension.

If it's 2021 you're looking at a half year rental. The David Price to Toronto deal would be the most recent comp but Syndergaard is probably less value than peak Price was. I don't think it's realistic to trade him to SD, a team that isn't competing when his contract ends that same season

I signed him to a 6 year extension and traded him to SD for Patino, Trammel and Potts
