Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
Just a quick one.
Does the pitch type affect the energy level of the pitcher ? Means 100 Fastballs consume as much Energy as 100 off speed pitches ?
I feel it's not affecting it. Pitchers also throw as fast on pitch 10 as on pitch 100. Seems a bit unrealistic ..Comment

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
As a pitcher tires, their control and consistency will degrade. Control impacts pitch location on good inputs, but consistency effects pitch movement, pitch control on bad inputs, bat exit velocity average and HR/9. So pitchers will be less accurate, have easier to hit stuff, and that stuff will be hit harder when barreled up, and the threshold for a "barreled up" pitch will widen.Comment

I had trouble with this for years too but what I do now is really simple. The first pitch, or even the first two, I use to gauge speed obvs but also to give the pitcher a chance to set up a predictable sequence.
For instance when you first step into the box ask the pitcher: where you going with this? And then you can easily take the pitch because you’re curious about the answer.
The more pitches you can watch the more you can get into a flow and rhythm in predicting what’s coming and everything snowballs from there when it comes to having good at-bats.Last edited by Detroit Tigers; 05-05-2021, 07:01 PM.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Can you use your ballplayer in franchise also?
Also, what attribute effects hot/cold streaks? Is there any attribute that does?

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
HI guys I have a quick question.
I want to buy 21 but I am playing 20 on a ps4 still. I enjoy diamond dynasty so I would like to buy 21. I will probably get a ps5 here at some point.
If I buy the digital deluxe edition right now and play 21 on my ps4 when I get a ps5 will I be able to install 21 and then continue with my DD team intact?
I am a little fuzzy on the mechanics of this. I can't seem to find a definitive answer about everything transferring over.
ThanksComment

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
Hello OS forums.
As you can tell by my join date, I am an ancient sports video game player, but I have mostly stuck to football games and haven't really played a baseball game since the N64 was a thing. But this game was available on Xbox Game Pass so I thought I'd give it a shot and play RTTS to relearn how to play baseball games while just focusing on my player. I have two questions:
1) Are there any tips for a complete noob to make things easier besides just cranking down the settings? Tips that might not be so obvious to someone that's never played this game before.
2) Does my minor league team just suck? I've driven in 34 RBIs, batting .319, but only scored 11 runs... and 7 of those runs were because I hit 7 HRs. That means my teammates have only got me home four times. I get so bored being on base that I increase my lead just to have fun diving back to the bag on pickoffs. I'm pretty sure half my singles just end up becoming double plays.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
Anyone know if/how you can have multiple Road to the show players?
Example : 1 pitcher and 1 shortstop (not a 2 way player)

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A
Apologies if this has been asked. I did search most of the pages and didn't see anything.
For "authentic" franchise players, is CPU bullpen logic improved this year? In the past, CPU teams would use the same bullpen arms over and over again.Last edited by jfen31; 05-10-2021, 05:02 PM.Comment
